Zwelethu Lukanyiso "Mighty" Madasa is a South African politician and lawyer who served in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2010,excepting a month-long hiatus in 2009. Gauteng is one of the nine multi-member constituencies of the National Assembly of South Africa,the lower house of the Parliament of South Africa,the national legislature of South Africa. The constituency was established as Pretoria–Witwatersrand–Vereeniging in 1994 when the National Assembly was established by the Interim Constitution following the end of Apartheid. It was renamed Gauteng in 1999. It is conterminous with the province of Gauteng. The constituency currently elects 48 of the 400 members of the National Assembly using the closed party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 general election it had 6,381,220 registered electors.

She represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 1999 until 2005,when she resigned after being convicted of defrauding Parliament in the Travelgate scandal. She returned to the assembly from 2009 until her death in 2011. She was also active in the ANC Women's League and South African National Civics Organisation (Sanco) in Gauteng.
Vincent Charles Gore is a South African politician who served in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009. He represented the Democratic Party (DP) and Democratic Alliance (DA) during his first term,but was elected to his second term under the banner of the Independent Democrats (ID). In September 2007,he crossed the floor from the ID to the African National Congress (ANC).
Daniel Kapeni Maluleke is a retired South African politician who served in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009,representing the Gauteng constituency. He was a member of the Democratic Party,later the Democratic Alliance (DA),until September 2005,when he crossed the floor to the African National Congress (ANC). He is a former deputy chairperson of the DA.
Sarel Jacobus "Kobus" Gous is a retired South African politician who represented the National Party (NP) and New National Party (NNP) in the National Assembly until 2004. He joined during the first democratic Parliament and represented the Gauteng caucus. He was also the NNP's spokesman on health.
