Star Music, formerly known as Star Records, is a record label in the Philippines owned and operated by media conglomerate ABS-CBN Corporation. It was formerly a separate company operating as a wholly owned subsidiary of ABS-CBN until 2013 when it was merged to ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. Its publishing and distribution subsidiary in the country is Star Music Publishing and has over one thousand songs in its catalog including the classic song "Anak" by Freddie Aguilar.

Regarded as one of the best Filipino rappers of all-time, his fast-flowing vocal style has made him one of the most successful hip-hop artists in the Philippines. He was described by fellow great Filipino rapper Francis Magalona as "a blacksmith of words and letters, and a true Filipino poet."

Awards night was held on March 26, 2014. Gloc-9 leads other artists of having the most number of nominations with seven nominations. The song "Magda" won four awards making Gloc-9 and Rico Blanco the biggest winners of the awards night.
