Botch is an American mathcore band formed in 1993 in Tacoma, Washington. The band, featuring Brian Cook, Dave Knudson, Tim Latona and Dave Verellen, spent four years as a garage band and released several demos and EPs before signing to Hydra Head Records. Through the label, Botch released two studio albums: American Nervoso (1998) and We Are the Romans (1999). The group toured extensively and internationally in support of their albums with like-minded bands such as The Blood Brothers, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Ink & Dagger and Jesuit. Botch struggled to write a third studio album, and in 2002 the group broke up due to tensions among the band members and creative differences. Hydra Head posthumously released an EP of songs the group had been working on before they split titled An Anthology of Dead Ends and a live album documenting their final show titled 061502 in 2006.
Unbroken is an American hardcore punk band from San Diego County, California. They were influential in the Southern California hardcore scene during the mid-to-late 1990s. The band chose the name Unbroken because they wanted to emphasize their dedication to the straight edge philosophy of drug abstinence. However, most of the members have since given up this belief.
Dave Knudson is an American guitarist and founding member of Seattle based indie band Minus the Bear, as well as mathcore band Botch. Other credits include additional guitars on These Arms Are Snakes' album Oxeneers or The Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home. Since the breakup of Minus The Bear, Knudson has been working on solo material; his debut solo album, The Only Thing You Have to Change is Everything, was released on May 13, 2022.
These Arms Are Snakes was an American post-hardcore band that formed in 2002 and featured former members of Botch and Kill Sadie. Sharks Keep Moving were a short-lived Seattle rock band that formed in 1998. The band's original lineup consisted of Jake Snider (guitar/vocals), Nathan Turpen (guitar), Jeff DeGolier (bass), and Dan Dean (drums). Their music was a melodic, often soft, brand of rock with odd time signatures and an almost freeform jazz influence.
Erin Tate is the former drummer of Seattle-based indie rock band Minus the Bear and Hand of the Hills, a side project started with David Totten and Matt Benham. Before starting Minus the Bear in 2001, he was a member of Kill Sadie. He has also played drums for Askeleton, Amy Blaschke, Heather Duby, Onalaska, These Arms Are Snakes, and Shampoop.
Matt Bayles is an American record producer, mixer, engineer, and musician, based in Seattle, Washington. Bayles is known for his work with bands such as The Classic Crime, Isis, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Botch, Mastodon, Minus the Bear, Burnt by the Sun, and Norma Jean and as the keyboardist for American indie rock band, Minus the Bear.
Kill Sadie was a Minneapolis-based post-hardcore band active from 1997 to 2001. The band adopted the DIY ethic of constant touring, rather than other forms of promotion. Several members of the band went on to perform with better known emo, hardcore, and indie bands including Minus the Bear, Pretty Girls Make Graves and These Arms Are Snakes.

Planet of Ice is the third full-length album from Minus the Bear, released in the UK on August 20, 2007 and in the US on August 21 by Suicide Squeeze Records. It was produced and recorded by the band's former keyboard player, Matt Bayles, in February and March 2007. It is the first Minus the Bear album to feature keyboardist Alex Rose, who replaced Matt Bayles after he left the band to concentrate on his career as a producer. It is also their last album on Suicide Squeeze Records until 2017's Voids.
Tail Swallower and Dove is the third and final album by Seattle-based post-hardcore band These Arms Are Snakes, released on October 7, 2008, on Suicide Squeeze Records. The album was re-released in 2017 ahead of the band's reunion shows.
Beware of Safety, commonly abbreviated as BoS, is an instrumental post-rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band plays sprawling, instrumental rock that could be classified as post-metal, post-rock, and even math rock. Beware of Safety has six official releases in its catalog: It Is Curtains (2007), dogs (2009), Giants/BoS Split 7" (2011), Leaves/Scars (2011), Lotusville (2014), and Mabon (2015). The band has released albums with The Mylene Sheath in the USA as well as Friend of Mine Records in Japan and has toured throughout the USA and Europe highlighted by performances with Caspian, El Ten Eleven, If These Trees Could Talk, Té, sleepmakeswaves, Maserati, The American Dollar and Junius, among others.
Narrows is an American mathcore band based in Seattle, but with members "spread out across both the United States and two continents." The band has been described as a supergroup, as its lineup includes Dave Verellen of Botch and members of bands including Unbroken, These Arms Are Snakes and Bullet Union. Narrows is a part-time band. All members have full-time jobs and are starting their own families.

Heiress is an American band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 2006. Their style blends influences from hardcore punk, heavy metal and post-rock. They signed to Deathwish Inc. in 2010, and released their debut album Early Frost in 2013.
Infinity Overhead is the fifth full-length album from Minus the Bear, released on August 28, 2012. It is their second album to be released on Dangerbird Records and was produced by the band's former keyboardist, Matt Bayles. The album was also released in the UK by Big Scary Monsters Recording Company in September.
"One Twenty Two" is a single by the American metal band Botch. The song was released as a digital single on August 24, 2022 and will serve as a bonus track on the reissue of Botch's We Are the Romans, to be released on November 4, 2022 through Sargent House. The single marks the first Botch release since 061502 in 2006 and first release with new material since An Anthology of Dead Ends in 2002. Despite regrouping to write and record the song, the members of Botch have stated the band has not reunited and is not active.
