History

As of the end of the 2014–2015 school year, Dysart High School has had 1,657 students enrolled. The total faculty of the school is 108 (81 teachers, 15 teachers aides, 4 administrators, and 9 professional staff).

A school has a "site council", which consists of two school administrators, two non-certified employees, two teachers, two parents, one member of the community, and two students. The responsibilities of this council are to facilitate school improvement, student achievement, school safety, student discipline, and communication with the community.

Academics

The school has been designated by the Arizona Learns Achievement Profile as "Performing Plus". [3]

The school has a graduation rate of 97% and awards over $700,000 in scholarships annually. In addition the school received over $600,000 in a 21st Century Grant and nearly $100,000 in a Gear-up grant; this money is used to fund mentoring, tutoring, summer enrichment and parental involvement programs.

Core-Plus Mathematics Project

Core-Plus Mathematics is a high school mathematics program consisting of a four-year series of print and digital student textbooks and supporting materials for teachers, developed by the Core-Plus Mathematics Project (CPMP) at Western Michigan University, with funding from the National Science Foundation. Development of the program started in 1992. The first edition, entitled Contemporary Mathematics in Context: A Unified Approach, was completed in 1995. The third edition, entitled Core-Plus Mathematics: Contemporary Mathematics in Context, was published by McGraw-Hill Education in 2015.

History of Arizona State University

The history of Arizona State University began March 12, 1885 with the founding of the establishment originally named the Territorial Normal School at Tempe. The school was founded after John Samuel Armstrong first introduced House Bill 164, “An Act to Establish a Normal School in the Territory of Arizona” to the 13th Legislative Assembly of the Arizona Territory. Instruction was instituted on February 8, 1886 under the supervision of Principal Hiram Bradford Farmer. Land for the school was donated by Tempe residents George and Martha Wilson, allowing 33 students to meet in a single room.

Mogollon High School High school in Arizona, United States

Mogollon High School (MHS) is a public high school located in Heber, Arizona, United States. The school was established in 1989, and is the only high school under the jurisdiction of the Heber-Overgaard Unified School District. The school enrolls an estimated 135 students in grades 9–12, and operates on a traditional school calendar. Mogollon's colors are Red, Silver and Black and the teams are collectively called the Mustangs. The school is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association's 1A Central Athletics Conference and competes in Division Division IV sports. Mogollon junior high is located at the same site as the high school.
