E. Bay Mitchell,III (born November 6,1953) is a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals,the intermediate appellate court in the state of Oklahoma. He represents District 6,Office 1. Governor Frank Keating appointed him to this position in 2002. [1] and he was retained by voters in 2004, [2] in 2006,and 2012. He was up for another retention election in 2018,at the end of his 6-year term. [3]
Mitchell was born on November 6,1953,and he grew up in Enid,Oklahoma. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1976 and his J.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1979. He and his wife Debra have three children. [1]
After law school in 1979,Mitchell began his legal career as a private practice lawyer in Enid and Oklahoma City. In 1993,he became a staff attorney for Judge Carl Jones of the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. He worked in this capacity until Governor Frank Keating appointed him to the Court of Appeals in 2002,filling the District 6 vacancy left by the retirement of Judge James Garrett. In 2009,Mitchell served for one year as Chief Judge. [4]

Robert Lee Williams was an American lawyer,judge,and the third governor of Oklahoma. Williams played a role in the drafting of the Oklahoma Constitution and served as the first Oklahoma Supreme Court chief justice. He also served as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. As Governor,Williams oversaw the state's response to the United States Supreme Court's ruling against Jim Crow laws and its involvement in World War I. He instituted the Oklahoma State Board of Affairs,which provided central purchasing services to state agencies. Due to his direct administrative role and concentration of power,Williams counteracted the loss of executive power under Governor Lee Cruce.

P. Thomas (Tom) Thornbrugh is a judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. He was born in Garnett,Kansas. He graduated in 1968 from Emporia State University with a B. A. in speech,then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was trained at Fort Benning,Georgia,then went to Vietnam,where he served with the 1st ARVN Division,and the 1st Signal Brigade at Khe Sanh during the 1971 Laotion invasion. He was honored with the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster for his actions at Khe Sanh. He received an honorable discharge in 1971,and returned to the United States.
Dana Lynn Kuehn is an American attorney and judge from Tulsa,Oklahoma who has served on the Supreme Court of Oklahoma since 2021;she was appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt on July 26,2021. Kuehn had previously been an Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals Judge after her appointment by the Governor of Oklahoma Mary Fallin on October 2,2017. Kuehn is the first woman to serve on both of the state's high courts,the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals.
