Aruba, officially the Country of Aruba, is a constituent island country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in the southern Caribbean Sea 29 kilometres (18 mi) north of the Venezuelan peninsula of Paraguaná and 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest of Curaçao. In 1986, it became a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and acquired the formal name the Country of Aruba.

Aruba's small labor force and low unemployment rate have led to many unfilled job vacancies, despite sharp rises in wage rates in recent years.

They are a short distance north of the Falcón State, Venezuela. Aruba and Curaçao are autonomous, self governing constituent countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, while Bonaire is a special municipality of the Netherlands. Natalee Ann Holloway was an 18-year-old American high school graduate from Mountain Brook, Alabama, who disappeared from the Caribbean island of Aruba on May 30, 2005. Her disappearance resulted in an international media sensation, especially in the United States. The prime suspect, Dutch national Joran van der Sloot, has made conflicting statements over the years about his involvement, including a confession to killing her. Holloway's remains have not been found.
San Nicolaas is 19 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Oranjestad, and is Aruba's second largest city. As of 2010 it has a population of 15,283, many of whom originate from the British Caribbean and the rest of the Caribbean.
Palm Beach is a tourism district about 6 kilometers northwest of Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba. Many high-rise hotels are located there, such as Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino, Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino, Barceló, Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort, Ritz Carlton Resort, and RIU Palace Aruba. A shopping district adjacent to the hotels was finished in 2009 and includes two large malls called Paseo Herencia and Palm Beach Plaza Mall. Little North of Palm Beach is Malmok Beach, a small sandy strip running all the way to the northern tip of Aruba. Smaller apartment complexes and luxurious holiday homes are located along this dead-end Boulevard. Hadicurari Beach (kiting), Arashi Beach and Boca Catalina (snorkeling) are popular locations.
Eagle Ridge is an affluent residential neighbourhood situated on a peninsula in the Glenmore Reservoir in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The community is known for its unique proximity to green spaces and parks, recreational waterways, and Calgary's multi-use urban pathway system despite its relative proximity to the city's denser downtown core and adjoining communities. In 2014, Eagle Ridge was ranked the 18th wealthiest neighbourhood in Canada and 3rd wealthiest in Calgary. One of Calgary's smallest neighbourhoods by population, Eagle Ridge is physically secluded from other nearby communities due to the Glenmore Reservoir acting as natural boundary to its north, west, and south, while 14 Street W bounds the community to the east.

The Eastern Washington Eagles football team represents Eastern Washington University in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. The Eastern Eagles are members of the Big Sky Conference and play at Roos Field, which is known for being the only stadium in college football with a red playing surface.

Curaçao, as well as the rest of the ABC islands and Trinidad and Tobago, lies on the continental shelf of South America. It is a thin island with a generally hilly topography; the highest point is Christoffelberg 372 m (1,220 ft) in the northwest. The coastline's bays, inlets and hot springs offer a source of natural minerals, thermal conditions, and seawater used in hydrotherapy and mesotherapy, making the island one of many balneoclimateric areas in the region. Off the southeast coast lies the small, flat island of Klein Curaçao.
