Earl Gant

Earl Leon Gant (born July 6, 1957) is a former American football running back in the National Football League (NFL) who played for the Kansas City Chiefs. He played college football for the Missouri Tigers. [1] He also played in the United States Football League (USFL) for the Birmingham Stallions.

The 88th edition of the World Series, it was a best-of-seven playoff played between the American League (AL) champion Minnesota Twins (95–67) and the National League (NL) champion Atlanta Braves (94–68). The Twins defeated the Braves four games to three to win the championship, their second in Minnesota and third overall. The team compiled a 4–7 record, finished in fifth place in the Big 8, and was outscored by opponents by a combined total of 195 to 180. Al Onofrio was the head coach for the last of seven seasons. The team played its home games at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri.
