Melbourne is a city in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is located 72 mi (116 km) southeast of Orlando. As of the 2010 census, there was a population of 76,068. The municipality is the second-largest in the county by both size and population. Melbourne is a principal city of the Palm Bay – Melbourne – Titusville, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 1969, the city was expanded by merging with nearby Eau Gallie.
Eau Gallie is a section of the city of Melbourne, Florida, located on the city's northern side. It was an independent city in Brevard County from 1860 until 1969.
The Melbourne Causeway is located entirely within Brevard County, Florida in the United States. It is composed of three bridges and connects the municipalities of Melbourne and Indialantic across the Indian River Lagoon in Brevard County. The causeway is part of U.S. 192, whose eastern terminus is located approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) east of the bridge, at SR A1A. East of the bridge, the road is known locally as Fifth Avenue. On the western side, the road continues through downtown Melbourne as Strawbridge Avenue. Each July 4 the bridge is closed for a fireworks show.

The William H. Gleason House is a historic home in Melbourne, Florida, United States. The house was built around 1884 by William Henry Gleason and his wife Sarah Griffin Gleason and is at 1736 Pineapple Avenue in the Eau Gallie neighborhood founded by the Gleasons before incorporating with Melborne in 1969. Gleason House is an outstanding example of Queen Anne style architecture. On January 25, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Roesch House is a historic U.S. home located at 1320 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. The house is owned by The Rossetter House Foundation, Inc., managed by the Florida Historical Society, and part of the Historic Rossetter House Museum.
Winchester Symphony House is a historic home located in the Eau Gallie-section of Melbourne, Florida. The house was built in 1886. William Treutler, director of the State Bank of Eau Gallie and hotel proprietor in Eau Gallie, built the house. Brevard County and the State of Florida list this building as a historic site. Currently, the house serves as the headquarters for the administrative staff of the Brevard Symphony Orchestra.
The Historic Rossetter House Museum is located at 1320 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, Florida in the historic section of Eau Gallie. The museum consists of the James Wadsworth Rossetter House and Gardens (1908), the William P. Roesch House (1901), and the Houston Family Memorial Cemetery (1865). The museum is owned by The Rossetter House Foundation, Inc. and managed by the Florida Historical Society. The museum includes antiques and exhibits that explore local history.

The Houston Pioneer Cemetery is a historic cemetery in Eau Gallie, Florida. It is located within Rossetter Park off Highland Avenue between Oak Street and Shady Lane near the James Wadsworth Rossetter House. The cemetery includes graves of original settlers from Eau Gallie such as John Caroll Houston, III and his wife Mary Virginia Houston. The Houston Memorial Park is also located here with a memorial from 1947 located adjacent to the cemetery. This memorial dates the first grave at 1865, but no headstone contains that date. John Caroll Houston, IV was buried here.
Rossetter Park is a public park located on the East side of Highland Avenue between Oak Street and Shady Lane in Eau Gallie, Florida. The park contains the Houston Pioneer Cemetery. The park also contains several grand old live oaks festooned with hanging moss.
The Old Eau Gallie Post Office is a historic U.S. building located at 1596 Highland Avenue, in the Eau Gallie section of Melbourne, Florida. The building was constructed in 1890s of rusticated block and was used as a post office from 1900 to 1925.
The Karrick Building is a historic U.S. building located at 1490 Highland Avenue, Eau Gallie, Florida. The building was constructed in 1924 by Jesse Karrick and it was used as a general merchandise and grocery store until 1963. Jesse Karrick was the first proprietor of the store and also served as the first fire chief of Eau Gallie.
The Ginter Building is a historic U.S. building located at 1540 Highland Avenue, Eau Gallie, Florida. The building was constructed in 1926 by Clifford Ginter. Over the years, it was used as an apartment building, a rescue mission house, a store, professional offices, and a nursery school.
The Eau Gallie Public Library was founded in 1898, making it the second oldest library in the Brevard County Library System, Florida, United States. The founders initially established the library in the Eau Gallie Post Office. The library was moved to several different locations over the years, including the city hall, the civic center and a restaurant In 1962, the library was moved to its current location at 1521 Pineapple Avenue in Eau Gallie, where a new building was constructed in 1998.
The Eau Gallie Yacht Club is a U.S. boating organization, located in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida with access to the Indian River. The original clubhouse is also a historic building. The club has 1,200 members.
