Ed Cohen [1] is an American author and talent executive specialised in corporate learning and organization development, [2] [3] [4] currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at SprintRay Inc., He was Chief Learning Officer [5] of multiple multi-national companies such as Satyam Computer, [6] [7] [8] HCLTech, Amazon (company) etc. With an experience of over four decades spanning more than 75 countries, [9] Ed Cohen is also a well-known speaker, primarily focusing on topics related to business, Human Resources (HR) and leadership. Cohen was born in Chicago and moved to Miami, Florida. He attended Miami Dade Community College at 14 and graduated high school with sufficient credits for an associate degree. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Florida, followed by a Master’s degree in Technology Education from Nova Southeastern University. Cohen also completed the Leading Professional Services Firms program at Harvard Business School.
Cohen began his career as a tax accountant before transitioning into corporate training and leadership development. His early work included roles at IBM, where he was involved in training initiatives during the rise of personal computing.
At Booz Allen Hamilton, Cohen led the development of a corporate university that earned the company the #1 ATD BEST Award for learning and development. He later joined Satyam in India, overseeing leadership development programs that received industry recognition.
In 2009, Cohen co-founded Nelson Cohen Global Consulting with Pris Nelson. The firm has worked with organizations such as Western Union, Yahoo!, and Farmers Insurance, focusing on leadership strategies and corporate culture.
From 2005 to 2012, Cohen lived in India, where he was involved in corporate leadership initiatives and charitable efforts, including support for an orphanage in Hyderabad.
