Ed Tullett (born 20 October 1993), also known under his solo moniker Lowswimmer, is an English multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and producer. His work includes collaborations with Novo Amor, and artist projects Hailaker, Lissom and Tolari.
In October 2012 Tullett signed to Equal Vision Records. [1] In the same month, Tullett's remix of Bon Iver's "Hinnom, TX" was released on Spotify. [2] He then released an EP entitled Trawl through MTV Hype Music. [3] Equal Vision Records followed this by digitally re-releasing a remastered version of the previously self-released Never Joy in December 2012. [4] Another single, "Oxblood", was released on Equal Vision Records in April 2013. [5]
Tullett began collaborating with Welsh Indie-Folk artist Novo Amor with their first collaborative single "Faux", which was released 23 June 2014 on Dumont Dumont & Brilliance Records. [6]
"Alps", Tullett's second collaborative single with Novo Amor, was released 15 April 2016. [7]
Heiress, Tullett and Novo Amor's full collaborative album, was released 10 November 2017 on All Points. [8]
Tullett continues to collaborate with Novo Amor, co-writing 2018's Birthplace, [9] [10] 2020's Cannot Be, Whatsoever, [11] and 2024's newly released Collapse List. [12] His contribution was documented in the album documentary "Please Don't Stand Up When Room Is In Motion". [13] Tullett was also part of the Novo Amor live band for 7 years. [14]
In August 2018, Tullett formed collaborative project Lissom with French pianist Julien Marchal. [15] [16] The duo has since released two records, 2018's Lissom, [17] and 2022's Eclipses (Naïve Records). [18]
Since 2019, Tullett has been working with Jemima Coulter on their collaborative project Hailaker. Their first self-titled record was released in April 2019. [19] A second record, Holding, followed in April 2020. [20] [21] "Wavepool", a collaborative single featuring S. Carey of Bon Iver was released in May 2021. [22]
In 2020, Tullett formed Tolari, an instrumental electronic project with longtime friend Auryn Tate (Shinamo Moki). The pair released their debut album Leylines in 2022 (Nettwerk). [23]
In June 2022, Tullett began releasing solo material again, under his new artist moniker Lowswimmer. Twinned albums Glasshouse 1 + 2 were released in June and July respectively. [24] [25] Red-Eye Effect, Tullett's third record as Lowswimmer, was released May 19th 2023.
On 29 September 2023, Tullett released Lack Thereof, a simple and stripped back record, as Ed Tullett / Lowswimmer. Stating that he felt detached from anything pre-2017 and wanted something new in the Ed Tullett space. [26]
On 24 April 2024, Tullett and Jemima Coulter announced their new Hailaker album Serenity Now would be released on 26 June 2024. [27]
On 24 January 2024, Tullett announced that he would stop touring with the Novo Amor live band after 7 years, his last show being in the London Roundhouse on 12 April 2024. [28] In his announcement, Tullett explained that touring had become too taxing on his mental health, with the negative aspects outweighing the positive moments. He sees this as a break, allowing him to focus more time on his other projects, and mentioned that he will still be writing music with Novo Amor. Tullett also mentioned that he might return for guest appearances or other purposes. [29]

Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He is the frontman of the alternative rock band Pixies, with whom he performs under the stage name Black Francis. Following the band's breakup in 1993, he embarked on a solo career under the name Frank Black. After releasing two albums with record label 4AD and one with American Recordings, he left the label and formed a new band, Frank Black and the Catholics. He re-adopted the name Black Francis in 2007.
4AD is a British record label owned by Beggars Group. It was founded in London under the name Axis Records by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent in 1980 as an imprint of Beggars Banquet Records. The name was changed to 4AD after the release of the label's first four singles. Later that year, Watts-Russell and Kent purchased the label from Beggars Banquet to become an independent record label, and Kent sold his share to Watts-Russell a year later.
This Mortal Coil were a British music collective led by Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of the British record label 4AD. Although Watts-Russell and John Fryer were the only two official members, the band's recorded output featured a large rotating cast of supporting artists, many of whom were otherwise associated with 4AD, including members of Cocteau Twins, Pixies and Dead Can Dance. The Fall of Troy is an American post-hardcore band from Mukilteo, Washington. The band is a trio consisting of Thomas Erak, Andrew Forsman and Jon-Henry "Hendo" Batts. When the group started their bassist was Tim Ward, who was later replaced by Frank Ene following his departure from the band in late 2007. Ene would remain in the band until their initial breakup in 2010, but Ward rejoined the band in Ene's place for their reunion in 2013. Ward once again left the band in 2016, and was later replaced by Just Like Vinyl bassist Jon-Henry "Hendo" Batts. The trio is known for their technical and dynamic style, unorthodox song structures, energetic stage presence and also for their song "F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X." which was featured in several video games.
