Nolan first started as a contestant in ABS-CBN's reality-based talent search Star Circle Quest: Season 2 in 2004. She was part of the Top 25, but never made it to the finals. Eventually, Eda was asked to audition for Star Magic and still she didn't get picked. When she was about to leave ABS-CBN she met Mr. M who talked to her and asked her to come back after graduation. After high school graduation, Eda went back to Manila to undergo training and workshop in acting, singing and dancing. That lasted for six months. After the training, Eda patiently waited for an offer. Getting bored and feeling it was not just her time yet, she decided to go back to Cebu. And just when she made up her mind to pursue her studies, she got a call asking her to audition for the sitcom Let's Go. This time, she got picked. [1]

On May 12, 2007, episode of Wowowee, to promote ABS-CBN's new teen comedy "Gokada Go!", cast members from the show performed a dance number as part of the entertainment segment of the show. Nolan's tube top became loose, exposing one of her breasts. Although producers claimed that she had been wearing a skin-colored bra, [2] Wowowee received a 3-day suspension from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
In 2007, Eda disappeared from public view after she left the ABS-CBN sitcom, "That's my Doc!". She reappeared on February 2008 after revealing that she gave birth to a son with her boyfriend, GMA-7 teen actor Gian Carlos. [3]
Wowowee is a Philippine noontime variety show that was broadcast by ABS-CBN from 2005 to 2010 replacing MTB. The show's first incarnation ran from February 5, 2005 to February 4, 2006, while the second and final incarnation ran from March 11, 2006 to July 30, 2010. It aired live on weekdays and Saturdays. The show was also broadcast worldwide through ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel. The program ended on July 30, 2010, and was replaced by a new variety show, Pilipinas Win Na Win, the following day on July 31.

The Hello Pappy scandal, alluding to the nickname of television personality Willie Revillame and the Hello Garci scandal, was a scandal surrounding an incident during the August 20, 2007, episode of the Filipino variety show Wowowee, broadcast by ABS-CBN. During the episode, a technical error occurred during the final jackpot round of the show's "Wilyonaryo" segment which raised allegations within the media that the segment was, or could have been, rigged by the producers. The incident prompted an investigation by the country's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and was also the catalyst of an on-air feud between Revillame and Joey de Leon, a personality from the rival GMA Network.
