Edafe Emamezi [1] is a retired Anglican bishop in Nigeria. [2]
Before his retirement in 2021 he served as Bishop of Western Izon. [3] He was born on 3 January 1951 at Nwaniba and educated at Archbishop Vining College of Theology. He was ordained in 1986. He has served in the USA, Oleh and Warri, where he served as Archdeacon. [4]
He was consecrated as the pioneer Bishop of Western Izon in 2005. [5]

The Church of Nigeria is the Anglican church in Nigeria. It is the second-largest province in the Anglican Communion, as measured by baptised membership, after the Church of England. As of 2016 it gives its membership as "over 18 million", out of a total Nigerian population of 190 million. It is "effectively the largest province in the Communion." As measured by active membership, the Church of Nigeria has nearly 2 million active baptised members. The Church of Nigeria is the largest Anglican province on the continent of Africa, accounting for 41.7% of Anglicans in Sub-Saharan Africa, and is "probably the first [largest within the Anglican Communion] in terms of active members."
The Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) is a Christian denomination in the Anglican tradition in the United States and Canada. It also includes ten congregations in Mexico, two mission churches in Guatemala, and a missionary diocese in Cuba. Headquartered in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, the church reported 30 dioceses and 1,037 congregations serving an estimated membership of 134,593 in 2017. In 2020, the denomination reported 972 congregations and 126,760 members. The first archbishop of the ACNA was Robert Duncan, who was succeeded by Foley Beach in 2014.
Diocese On the Niger is the mother diocese of the Church of Nigeria. It is one of 10 Anglican dioceses in the Anglican Province of the Niger within the Church of Nigeria. The diocese was created in 1864 as the Diocese of Western Equatorial Africa. In 1920 the Diocese of Equatorial West Africa was divided into two: an eastern part and a western part. A part of the Diocese on the Niger was subsequently carved out in 1946 to create the Niger Delta Diocese.
The Bendel Province is one of the fourteen ecclesiastical provinces of the Church of Nigeria. It comprises thirteen dioceses, each one headed by a bishop and it was created in 2002, when the current division into provinces was adopted. His headquarters are located in Asaba. The first Archbishop of the Bendel Province was Albert Agbaje, who died in 2005. He was succeeded by Nicholas Okoh, latter replaced upon his election as Primate of Nigeria by Friday John Imaekhai in 2010. In 2020 Cyril Odutemu became Archbishop of Bendel.
Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba is a Primate of the Church of Nigeria. Prior to his appointment, he was Archbishop of Jos and Bishop of Gombe.

The Anglican Diocese of Ijebu is one of 13 within the Anglican Province of Lagos, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The last bishop, Ezekiel Ayo Awosoga died in 2020. The current bishop is Peter Rotimi Oludipe; he was consecrated a bishop on 21 September 2020 at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Abuja; he is the fifth bishop diocesan.
The Anglican Diocese of Oke-Osun is one of 17 within the Anglican Province of Ibadan, itself one of 14 provinces within the Church of Nigeria. The Bishop Emeritus is Abraham Akinlalu who was succeeded by Foluso Taiwo in 2019. Taiwo died in November 2020, and was succeeded by Oluwagbemiro Fabuluje, elected in January 2021.
