Enugu State is a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria,bordered to the north by the states of Benue and Kogi,Ebonyi State to the east and southeast,Abia State to the south,and Anambra State to the west. The state takes its name from its capital and largest city,Enugu. The city acquired township status in 1917 and was called Enugwu-Ngwo. Due to the rapid expansion towards areas owned by other indigenous communities,it was renamed Enugu in 1928.

Igbobi College is a college established by the Methodist and Anglican Churches in 1932,in the Yaba suburb of Lagos,Lagos State,South-western Nigeria. It is still on its original site and most of the original buildings are intact. It is one of the oldest colleges in Nigeria,and has been the alma mater of a number of well-known Nigerians. Eze Igwegbe Odum was an Aro Igbo politician born in the Nigerian town of Mbaukwu in present-day Awka South LGA in Anambra state. Igwegbe Odum,was not Aro by origin,but a migrant like many settlers in Arondizuogu. Along with his brothers,he fled to Arondizuogu in the late 19th century. His life story became the subject of Omenuko the earliest Igbo novel written by Pita Nwana. Odum died in 1940. He was also a brother-in-law to Ojiako Ezenne of Adazi. Igwegbe Odum never made it back to his homeland of Mbaukwu. Along with his brothers,he settled in Ndi-Aniche Uno in Arondizuogu. Their lineage include the legendary K.O. Mbadiwe and his brother Green Mbadiwe.

Chief Theophilus Owolabi Shobowale Benson,S.A.N. was a Nigerian lawyer who became one of the most prominent Yoruba politicians in the period leading up to Nigerian independence in 1960. He served as the Minister of Information,Broadcasting and Culture in the first post-independence government. Benson was imprisoned for several months after the first military coup of 1966. He returned to practice as a barrister,and was recognised as a prominent Yoruba chief.
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon,better known by his stage name Reekado Banks,is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He signed with Mavin Records in 2014 and left the label in 2018. He went by the stage name Spicy before his record deal with Mavin Records. Reekado Banks won Rookie of the Year at The Headies 2014,and won the controversial Next Rated award at The Headies 2015. He was briefly the Federal Minister of Trade in January 1966 before a coup brought to an end the First Republic.
