Edgeout Records (stylized as EDGEOUT Records) is an American independent record label, founded by Tony Guanci and Cheryl Benson-Guanci in 2018. Its releases are distributed through Universal Music Group, with which it signed an exclusive global label services agreement in December 2018.
Edgeout can sign bands it will "upstream" to one of Universal's labels, or alternately, it has distribution division that provides services to bands/artists that meet specific criteria. [1] The label also runs an artist development program called The Studio, which it uses to identify potential signees. [2] [3] Edgeout also signs established artists with specialty projects and musicians to sole distribution deals.
Based in Los Angeles, California, Edgeout opened a second location in Nashville, Tennessee on October 12, 2021.
Edgeout announced its first signing, The Jacks, in January 2019. The Jacks debut EP single, "Walk Away," premiered May 17, 2019.It came from their debut, self-titled EP, released June 28, 2019. The album was produced by Grammy- Nominated Matt Wallace and mixed by Grammy-Winner, Andrew Scheps at Los Angeles’ Sunset Sound Recorders. [4] In November 2019, the band released a holiday single, a rock version of "In the Bleak Midwinter," based on an 1872 work by English poet Christina Rossetti. [5] In advance of their second EP, Remember You, the group released the first single “Just A Little Bit” on January 23, 2020. [6] and followed up with their second single Threw It All Away on March 3, 2020. [7] The EP was released on March 6, 2020, and was produced by Grammy Award-winner Joe Chiccarelli. The Jacks followed up on September 17, 2021, with a specialty-project album, titled Slowdance. [8]
The label signed its second band, The Revelries, a pop-rock/alternative band in the winter of 2019. [9] [10] The Revelries first single "Cliché Love" was released on April 30, 2021, [11] followed by several further single releases. On May 6, 2022- the band released "Best For You." [12] The Revelries prior singles have recently been compiled into a self-titled album, The Revelries on September 9, 2022. [13]
Edgeout signed its first established artist, DJ Ashba, in March 2020. Ashba (stylized as ASHBA) released his debut single, "Hypnotic (Ft. Cali Tucker)" on August 14, 2020. Ashba will be releasing several more singles, all with different vocalists, in the coming months. [14] [ needs update ] Ashba's second single, "Let's Dance (Ft. James Michael)" was released October 16, 2020, and the official music video was released on October 23, 2020. [15] Ashba released his latest single, titled "Bella Ciao" on October 29, 2021. Ashba then released "Malosa" on July 29, 2022. [16] On November 10, 2023, Ashba released 'Party Tonight' ft. Dia with an accompanying music video. [17]
The label announced their signing of Bluphoria, on February 1, 2021. The Alternative Blues/ Psych Rock band is from Eugene, OR, though they re-located to Nashville, TN in January 2022. Bluphoria released their debut single, titled 'Set Me Up' on August 19, 2022. [18] Bluphoria then released 'Walk Through The Fire' on October 21, 2022. [19] On January 27, 2023, the band released single 'Ain't Got Me,' followed by 'Columbia' on March 31, 2023. [20] Bluphoria released their debut self-titled album with the label on May 5, 2023. [21] On June 14, 2024, the band released an EP titled "Bluphoria Live (Live At The East Iris Live Night Event/2023)."
In December 2021, Edgeout released a holiday EP, titled Rock'n Holiday. The EP features three holiday tracks, including Ashba's "A Christmas Storm," The Revelries "Jingle Bells" and The Jacks "In The Bleak Midwinter." [22]
Northern California alternative pop-punk trio Stratejacket signed to Edgeout Records in September 2021. [23] The band released their debut single titled ‘Bad Start’ on September 22, 2023. [24] A second single was released on March 1, 2024 - titled "Be My Drug." [25] On May 10, 2023, StrateJacket released their self-titled five track EP. [26] The band released another single titled "End of Time" on July 19, 2024. [27] StrateJacket released a third single titled "Dreamcatcher" on August 30, 2024. [28] On October 11, 2024, the band released their debut album "Bad Start." [29]
On August 21, 2023, Edgeout signed New Zealand rock band Like A Storm. [30] The band released the single "Sinners & Saints" on September 15, 2023. [31] On June 28, 2024, they released another single titled "Yeah!" with featuring artists Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens and Hyro The Hero. On August 2, 2024, they released a second single with Hyro The Hero titled "All F*ucked (Live It Up)." The band later also released a third single titled "Final Countdown" on September 13, 2024.
Screaming Trees were an American rock band formed in Ellensburg, Washington, in 1984 by vocalist Mark Lanegan, guitarist Gary Lee Conner, bassist Van Conner, and drummer Mark Pickerel. Pickerel was replaced by Barrett Martin in 1991. Screaming Trees became known as one of the pioneers of grunge along with Melvins, Mudhoney, U-Men, Skin Yard, Soundgarden, Green River, and Malfunkshun, among others. Although widely associated with grunge, the band's sound incorporated hard rock and psychedelic elements.
Nikki Sixx is an American musician, best known as the co-founder, bassist, and primary songwriter of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, being the only member to remain throughout their entire history. Prior to forming Mötley Crüe, Sixx was a member of Sister before going on to form London with his Sister bandmate Lizzie Grey. In 2000, he formed side project group 58 with Dave Darling, Steve Gibb and Bucket Baker, issuing one album, Diet for a New America. Also in 2002, he formed the hard rock supergroup Brides of Destruction with L.A. Guns guitarist Tracii Guns. Formed in 2006, initially to record an audio accompaniment to Sixx's autobiography The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star, his side band Sixx:A.M. featured songwriter, producer, and vocalist James Michael and guitarist DJ Ashba.
My Morning Jacket is an American rock band formed in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1998. The band consists of vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, drummer Patrick Hallahan, guitarist Carl Broemel, and keyboardist Bo Koster. The band's sound, rooted in rock and country, is often experimental and psychedelic. The group amassed a following beginning in the 2000s in part due to their live performances.
She Wants Revenge is an American rock band, based in San Fernando Valley, California. Formed in 2004, the band is a duo of singer and guitarist Justin Warfield and multi-instrumentalist Adam Bravin. Their music has been influenced by post-punk, darkwave and gothic rock. The band has sold more than 300,000 records in the US.
War of Ages is an American Christian metal band formed in Erie, Pennsylvania, in 2002.
Bullets and Octane is a hard rock band originally from St. Louis, Missouri and later based in Southern California. They originate from the band Ultrafink. The band has been touring in Europe and North America since December 31, 1998, playing as a support band for Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Social Distortion, Bad Religion, Eagles of Death Metal and Flogging Molly, CKY (band), amongst others, as well as headlining their own tours.
Beautiful Creatures is an American hard rock band formed in 1999 by guitarist DJ Ashba and singer Joe Lesté of Bang Tango. The group's current lineup is composed of Lesté, Alex Grossi, Anthony Focx, Kenny Kweens (bass) and Timmy Russell (drums). Previously the group featured Michael Thomas and Glen Sobel among others while founder DJ Ashba is currently the lead guitarist for Sixx:A.M.
The Last Vegas are an American hard rock band from Chicago whose style draws from glam, punk, and sleaze metal. Composed of Chad Cherry, John Wator (guitar), Adam Arling (guitar), Danny Smash (bass), and Nate Arling (drums), the band released the album Whatever Gets You Off, in April 2009, on Eleven Seven Music. The album was produced by Nikki Sixx, Sixx:A.M. guitarist DJ Ashba, as well as Marti Frederiksen.
Mother Mother is a Canadian indie rock band based on Quadra Island, British Columbia. The band consists of Ryan Guldemond on guitar and vocals, Molly Guldemond and Jasmin Parkin on vocals and keyboard, Ali Siadat on drums, and Mike Young on bass. Longtime bassist Jeremy Page left the band in 2016.
Sixx:A.M. was an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2007 by Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba, and James Michael, and was a side project of Sixx, who was also at the time bass guitarist for Mötley Crüe. The group is best known for their songs "Life Is Beautiful" and "Lies of the Beautiful People". The name Sixx:A.M. is a combination of all of the members' last names.
Daren Jay Ashba is an American musician, guitarist, songwriter, record producer, and graphic designer. He was the lead guitarist of Sixx:A.M. He is also known for his work with hard rock bands BulletBoys, Beautiful Creatures and Guns N' Roses. He has worked with various artists including Mötley Crüe, Drowning Pool, Marion Raven, Aimee Allen and Neil Diamond. He is the CEO of Ashba Media.
Born Ruffians are a Canadian indie rock band based in Toronto. Officially founded in 2004 in the Georgian Bay town of Midland, Ontario, the band is composed of frontman Luke Lalonde, bassist Mitch DeRosier, drummer Steve Hamelin, and keyboardist Maddy Wilde. During the 2010s, they were also joined by Andy Lloyd (guitar/keyboards) and Adam Hindle (drums). Born Ruffians released their debut album Red, Yellow & Blue in 2008, and have since released eight albums in total, including the latest albums being Juice and Squeeze, released in 2020; and Pulp released in 2021.

Saints of Los Angeles is the ninth and final studio album by the American heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, released on June 24, 2008, by Mötley Records and Eleven Seven Music. This was the only full-length studio album with the band's original lineup since 1997's Generation Swine, following the return of drummer Tommy Lee, the last to feature guitarist Mick Mars before his dismissal from Mötley Crüe in 2022, and the last before their initial dissolution in 2015. Following its release, the band has avoided releasing any further albums in favor of releasing singles.
Dino Jelusić, also known by his stage name Dino Jelusick, is a Croatian singer, musician, and songwriter. He was the winner of the inaugural edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in 2003. He is the founder, principal songwriter, and lead singer of the progressive rock band Animal Drive, which was formed in 2012 and disbanded in 2021. Since 2016, Jelusick has been a touring member for the American rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and in 2021, he joined Whitesnake. In 2023, he released the album Follow the Blind Man with his band Jelusick.
Disclosure is an English electronic music duo consisting of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence. They grew up in Reigate, Surrey. Their debut studio album, Settle, released on 3 June 2013, by PMR Records, was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards. They released a second studio album, Caracal, on 25 September 2015 which was also nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards. Their third studio album, Energy, was released on 28 August 2020, and was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards, alongside the fourth single from the album, "My High", which was nominated for Best Dance Recording.
X Ambassadors are an American pop rock band from Ithaca, New York, that consists of lead vocalist Sam Harris, keyboardist Casey Harris, and drummer Adam Levin. Russ Flynn is a touring member who plays guitar and bass. Their most notable songs include "Jungle", "Renegades", and "Unsteady". The band's debut full-length album, VHS, was released on June 30, 2015. Their second album, Orion, came out on June 14, 2019. Their third album, The Beautiful Liar, was issued on September 24, 2021. The Jacks are a four-piece rock band from Los Angeles, California. Tom Hunter and Scott Stone were friends as children. Jonny Stanback joined after college and Josh Roossin joined the following year.
