The Jacks are a four-piece rock band from Los Angeles, California. Tom Hunter (lead guitar, vocals) and Scott Stone (bass guitar, vocals) were friends as children. Jonny Stanback (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) joined after college and Josh Roossin (drums, percussion) joined the following year. [1] [2]
In 2017, the band won a recording contract at the Los Angeles regionals of the KLOS-FM Next2Rock competition. However, the prize was declined by the band and they elected to wait for a contract with Edgeout Records, which they received in January 2019.
PopMatters premiered their track, "Hello My Friend," on February 8, 2018. [3] Atwood Magazine also premiered their single, "Tonight," in 2018. [4]
The video for their single, "Walk Away," premiered on Billboard on Jun 21, 2019. It came from their debut, self-titled EP, released June 28, 2019. [5] The album was produced by Matt Wallace and mixed by Andrew Scheps at Los Angeles’ Sunset Sound Recorders. [6]
They performed at the 2019 NFL Super Bowl pre-party, [7] at the debut Sonic Temple art & music festival, and as part of Ringo Starr’s Peace & Love birthday event. [8]
In November 2019, the band released a holiday single, a rock version of "In the Bleak Midwinter," based on an 1872 work by English poet Christina Rossetti. [9]
In advance of their second EP, Remember You, the group released a lyric video for their track "Just A Little Bit." [10] The EP was released on March 6, 2020, and featured the single and video "Threw It All Away." It was produced by Grammy Award-winner Joe Chiccarelli. [11] Following up that release in April, guitarist Tom Hunter was featured in Guitar World Magazine teaching guitarists how to play the riffs he performed on that track. [12]
Stabbing Westward is an American industrial rock band. Christopher Hall and Walter Flakus formed the band in 1985 in Macomb, Illinois. The band released an extended play in 1992, followed by four studio albums: Ungod (1994), Wither Blister Burn & Peel (1996), Darkest Days (1998), and Stabbing Westward (2001). The band announced a dissolution on February 9, 2002. Two compilation albums were later released in 2003. Stabbing Westward reunited in 2016 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its formation and continued to perform live shows. The band's first new album in 21 years, Chasing Ghosts, was released in 2022.

The song was also released as the second single from the album in Australia on 26 February 2006. The track reached number 33 on the Australian Singles Chart and 29 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

Beartooth is an American rock band founded by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo in Columbus, Ohio, in 2012. Originally Shomo performed every instrument when in the studio, before being joined by a four-piece band. Beartooth has been signed to Red Bull Records since 2013; its debut EP Sick was released on July 26, 2013, followed by the debut full-length album Disgusting on June 10, 2014. Since then, Shomo has released a further three studio albums under the Beartooth moniker: Aggressive (2016), Disease (2018), and Below (2021). The band's fifth studio album, The Surface, was released on October 13, 2023.
Vulfpeck is an American funk band founded in 2011 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, by Jack Stratton, Theo Katzman, Woody Goss and Joe Dart. The band has released four extended plays, six studio albums and one live album through their own record label. The band gained recognition in 2014 for releasing Sleepify, a silent album that exposed a loophole in Spotify's royalty distribution and funded an admission-free tour.
