History

Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop (ESW) was founded by a group of sculpture graduates from Edinburgh College of Art in 1986 as an artist-run organisation. [2] [3] In 1988 ESW leased 78 Albion Road in Edinburgh from WASPS Artists Studios. The organisation moved to its current site in Newhaven in 1994, and from 2003 undertook a major redevelopment project, with its current building opening in 2012. [4] [5]

Grays School of Art

Gray's School of Art is the Robert Gordon University's art school, located in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is one of the oldest established fine art institutions in Scotland and one of Scotland's five art schools today, and ranked among the Top 20 Schools of Art and Design in the United Kingdom. The School is housed in a modernist building at the university's Garthdee campus in Aberdeen. As well as degree-level training in fine art, applied art and design, Gray's School of Art offers short courses and evening classes to the general public in a wide variety of mediums. Many of these are designed for those with no previous formal training, and can also be used to develop a portfolio prior to applying for degree-level study. Edinburgh Science, founded in 1989, is an educational charity that aims to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to discover the world around them. Edinburgh Science is best known for organising Edinburgh's annual Science Festival the world's first public celebration of science and technology and still one of Europe's largest. The two-week Festival gives audiences amazing experiences through a diverse programme of innovative events. Alongside the annual Festival in Edinburgh, the organisation has a strong focus on education and runs touring programme Generation Science that visits schools around Scotland throughout the year. Edinburgh Science also operates a large-scale international programme of work under the Worldwide arm. It regularly presents events overseas and has been the Major Programming Partner of the annual Abu Dhabi Science Festival, helping to curate, produce and deliver the event.

Lotte Glob is a Danish ceramic artist living in the north of Scotland. She is daughter of Peter Glob.

Grizedale Arts is a contemporary arts residency and commissioning agency sited in Grizedale Forest in the central Lake District in rural Northern England. It conducts cultural projects locally, nationally and internationally from its bases at Lawson Park farm and the Coniston Institute. The Royal Society of Sculptors is British charity established in 1905 which promotes excellence in the art and practice of sculpture. Its headquarters are a centre for contemporary sculpture on Old Brompton Road, South Kensington, London. It is the oldest and largest organisation dedicated to sculpture in the UK. Until 2017 it was the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

Scottish Poetry Library Library in Edinburgh, Scotland

City Art Centre Art gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland

The City Art Centre is part of the Museums & Galleries Edinburgh, which sits under the Culture directorate of the City of Edinburgh Council. The City Art Centre has a collection which include historic and modern Scottish painting and photography, as well as contemporary art and craft. It is an exhibition based venue with no permanent displays.

Fanny Lam Christie is a Hong Kong born artist who specializes in sculpture and works in Scotland. She currently works from her studio in Perthshire, Scotland.
