Miss France is a national beauty pageant in France held annually in December. The competition was first held in 1920, and has been organized continuously since 1947. The trademark for the pageant is owned by the company Miss France SAS, and is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine France. The competition is aired on TF1.
Miss Tahiti is a French Polynesian beauty pageant which selects a representative for the Miss France national competition from the overseas country of French Polynesia. Despite its name, women from all of French Polynesia are eligible to compete, not solely those from Tahiti. Miss Tahiti has been held annually since 1960.

The competition was hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault, Sylvie Tellier, and Miss France 2019 Vaimalama Chaves, with performances by Robbie Williams and Chaves. Footballer Amandine Henry served as the jury president.

Clémence Botino of Guadeloupe crowned Amandine Petit of Normandy as her successor at the end of the event. Petit represented France at Miss Universe 2020.
Claudine Cassereau was a French model, artist and beauty pageant titleholder. She was elected Miss Poitou-Charentes in 1971 and was 3rd place in Miss France in 1972. She then became Miss France 1972 after Chantal Bouvie de Lamotte was hurt by a fall from horseback.

Indira Ampiot is a French beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss France 2023. She had previously been crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2022 and Miss Basse-Terre 2022 and is the fourth woman from Guadeloupe to win Miss France. She will represent France at Miss Universe 2024.
