Eduardo Soriano (born 13 October 1936) is an Argentine former tennis player.
Soriano was born in Buenos Aires on 13 October 1936. [1] Soriano participated in the Davis Cup, representing his country in the 1950s and the 1960s. He played a total of 32 matches (20 singles matches and 12 doubles) and his best match is considered the five-set match (last set 14/12) in the 1966 Davis Cup when Roberto Aubone and he won, defeating players Marcello Lara and Rafael Osuna from Mexico.
Nicolás Alejandro Massú Fried, nicknamed El Vampiro, is a Chilean former professional tennis player. A former world No. 9 in singles, he won the singles and doubles gold medals at the 2004 Athens Olympics. He is the only man to have won both gold medals at the same Games since the re-introduction of Olympic tennis in 1988, and they are Chile's only two Olympic gold medals. Massú also reached the final of the 2003 Madrid Masters and won six singles titles. He is presently the coach of 2020 US Open champion and former world No. 3 Dominic Thiem.
Ivo Karlović is a former Croatian professional tennis player. His height of 211 cm makes him the joint tallest ranked tennis player in history, along with Reilly Opelka. He has won eight ATP singles titles between 2007 and 2016. He is a serve-and-volleyer and officially held the record for the fastest serve recorded in professional tennis, measured at 251 km/h (156 mph), before being surpassed unofficially by Samuel Groth in 2012, and officially by John Isner in 2016. In his prime, he was considered one of the best servers on tour, and held the all-time record for career aces with 13,728 before the record was broken by John Isner on July 1 2022. This makes him one of only five players in history to surpass 10,000 aces. His height enables him to serve with high speed and unique trajectory.
Reginald "Reggie" or "R. F." Frank Doherty was a British tennis player and the older brother of tennis player Laurence Doherty. He was known in the tennis world as "R.F." rather than "Reggie". He was a four-time Wimbledon singles champion and a triple Olympic Gold medalist in doubles and mixed doubles.
