Edward A. Everett was an American politician. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

Biography

Everett was born on March 23, 1861, in Beloit, Wisconsin. [1] He later worked in the hotel industry in Chicago, Illinois before moving to Eagle River, Wisconsin in 1896. The following year, he took ownership of what would become known as The Everett Resort in nearby Washington, Vilas County, Wisconsin. In 2008, the resort was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Assembly career

Everett was a member of the Assembly during the 1905, 1907, 1915 and 1917 sessions. [2] He was a Republican.

Henry Allen Huber was an American lawyer and progressive Republican politician from Stoughton, Wisconsin. He was the 25th lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, serving from 1925 through 1933. He also served 12 years in the Wisconsin Senate and two years in the Wisconsin State Assembly representing Dane County. Earlier in his career, he also served as an executive clerk to Wisconsin governor Robert M. La Follette. He is known for introducing the first form of state unemployment insurance legislation in the United States, and is the namesake of the "Huber Law" which created Wisconsin's first work release program for state prisoners.

The 3rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in northeast Wisconsin, the district comprises most of the north half of Calumet County, and parts of southeast Outagamie County and northwest Manitowoc County. It includes the city of Brillion and parts of the cities of Appleton and Menasha, as well as the villages of Combined Locks, Kimberly, Hilbert, Potter, and Sherwood. The district is represented by Republican Ron Tusler, since January 2017.

Jacob J. Blahnik was an American farmer, businessman, teacher and legislator from Algoma, Wisconsin. He served one term as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from the Kewaunee County seat, and was an unsuccessful candidate for various other offices.
