The Edwinola is a historic 1912 hotel building in Dade City, Florida being used as part of a retirement residence, with independent and assisted living apartments attached behind it, and for the Edwinola Restaurant.
The hotel once offered Model T shuttle service from the local Seaboard Railroad station. In 2012 the building's 100th anniversary was celebrated. [1]
A three-story building with Doric columns, wrap-around porches and a Mansard roof, it was named after owners Edwin and Lola Gasque. After World War II it struggled to compete against newer hotels and was converted into a residence for the Gasque family in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1975 it was purchased by Marlene and Robert Sumner who turned it into a restaurant. In the 1980s it became a retirement home with an 8 story building attached.
The Dade City News reported that the Edwinola would probably close in September 2016, as soon as its current residents can find other assisted living facilities to relocate to. [1]
The assisted living center closed in 2016, and reopened in May, 2017 under new ownership and management. It is located at 14235 Edwinola Way.

It was originally designed by Thomas E. Stanley as an office building and completed in 1970 as the headquarters of Gulf and Western Industries. In the mid-1990s, a joint venture composed of the General Electric Pension Fund, Galbreath Company, and developer Donald Trump renovated the building into a hotel and residential tower. The renovation was designed by Philip Johnson and Costas Kondylis.

At 926 feet (282 m), the tower is one of the tallest residential buildings in Lower Manhattan. The top floors of the 82-story building, known as the Four Seasons Private Residences New York Downtown, have 157 residences, ranging from one to six bedrooms, all reached through a dedicated residential lobby at 30 Park Place. Below is a 189-room Four Seasons Hotel, with its own lobby on Barclay Street, which opened in September 2016.
The Reynolds Building is a 314-foot (96 m) Art Deco skyscraper at 51 East 4th Street in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It was completed in 1929 and has 21 floors with 313,996 square feet (29,171.2 m2) of space. For much of its history the building served as headquarters for R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. After a sale to PMC Property Group in 2014, the building went through an estimated $60 million in renovations. In March 2016, The Residences @ the R.J. Reynolds Building, apartments located on the top 11 floors, opened. The first six floors opened as the Kimpton Cardinal Hotel in April. Katharine Brasserie & Bar, a restaurant named for Katharine Smith Reynolds, followed in May.
The Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is a 580 ft tall combination hotel/condominium building skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was constructed from 2006 to 2008 and has 42 floors. It is the 12th tallest building in Atlanta and the fifteenth tallest residential highrise in the United States. The design architect for the building was Robert A.M. Stern Architects with Atlanta firm Milton Pate Architects serving as the Architect of Record. The project was developed by Atlanta-based City Centre Properties, LLC and constructed by Holder Construction Company.
The Statler Hotel & Residences is a hotel of mid-twentieth century design located at 1914 Commerce Street in downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). It is located on the edge of the Farmers Market District and adjacent to Main Street Garden Park. The hotel opened in 1956 as The Statler Hilton and was praised as the first modern American hotel and was designed by William B. Tabler. Later renamed the Dallas Grand Hotel, it closed in 2001, then was restored and reopened in 2017. It is currently a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
