The Egypt Basketball Cup is an annual knockout competition for Egyptian basketball teams. The competition was established in 1975, it is organised by the Egyptian Basketball Federation.

The Arab Futsal Cup is a futsal competition for Arab nations. It was first held in 1998. Only three teams have won the cup since its foundation. Morocco is the most successful having won the title three times, followed by Egypt and Libya with two titles each.

The team is widely considered the most basketball powerhouse of Egypt, having won the most record 16 Premier League championships, the most record 14 Egyptian Cups and 3 Super Cups. In continental and international competitions, Ittihad has won the FIBA Africa Champions Cup (BAL) in 1987, its only African continental title. Anas Osama Mahmoud is an Egyptian professional basketball player who plays for Al Ittihad Alexandria of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. He played college basketball at the University of Louisville. He represents the Egypt national basketball team.
Al Ahly Volleyball Club, also called "The Masters" is one of Al Ahly SC club's sections that represent the club in Egypt and in international volleyball competitions. The club team section has been based in Cairo since 1932. Al Ahly volleyball team can be considered the greatest team in Africa and the Middle East.
