Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute

The Egyptian Petroleum Research Institution (EPRI) is a governmental organization in Egypt founded by the presidential decree 541 in 1974. It is under the umbrella of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Technology, to help advance the development of studies and applications within the oil sector, and to find solutions to both long and short term technical problems. [1]

To effectively carry out this role the Ministry of petroleum is authorized for up to 50% of the EPRI's board of director shares; the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and Development is the head of the EPRI board, other members who are appointed by him to support and back the EPRI mission. [2]

Abdurrahim Abdulhafiz El-Keib, PhD, was a Libyan politician, professor of electrical engineering, and entrepreneur who served as interim Prime Minister of Libya from 24 November 2011 to 14 November 2012. Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), is an institute of national importance established in 2016, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Visakhapatnam, a domain-specific Institute at par with IITs and IIMs, is established by the Government of India under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) in the year 2016. The Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy Act, 2017 enacted by the Parliament and declared the Institute as an 'Institution of National Importance'.

Mark Gerald Lauby is an electrical engineer working for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) in Atlanta, Georgia where he is Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer. Lauby was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2012 for his work in the development and application of techniques for bulk power system reliability. He also received the IEEE PES Roy Billinton Award in 2014 for his contribution to reliability of electric power systems and currently is a committee member for the award. In 2020, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) elected Mr. Lauby as a member, citing his development and application of techniques for electric grid reliability analysis.

The Ministry of Energy, Power division is a Pakistan Government's federal and executive level ministry created on 4 August 2017 after merging of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources with the power division of the Ministry of Water and Power, respectively. The ministry has two divisions - petroleum and power. The Petroleum Division is headed by the Petroleum Secretary and the Power Division is headed by the Power Secretary. It is currently headed by Engr. Khurram Dastagir Khan as of May 2022.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">A. K. Mukherjee</span> Indian biochemist

Ashis K. Mukherjee is an Indian biochemist specializing in snake venom biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology. He served as the Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of Tezpur University during 2008– 2011. Known for his research on snake venom biochemistry, proteomic composition and other proteins related work from microbial and plant background, Mukherjee serves as the head and coordinator of the Nodal Center for Medical Colleges and Biomedical Research Institutes of North East India at Tezpur University. The Department of Biotechnology of the Government of India awarded him the National Bioscience Award for Career Development, for his contributions to biosciences, in 2013. Mukherjee has also received the Visitor's Award 2018 for research in the fields of basic and applied sciences from the President of India.
