Egyptrixx (born David Psutka) [1] is a Canadian electronic musician from Toronto, Ontario. Psutka also releases music under the names "ACT!" and " Ceramic TL", is a member of experimental folk project Anamai, [2] and works as a studio producer and composer [3]

Biography

Egyptrixx's debut full-length album, Bible Eyes, was released in March 2011. [4] [5] [6] Psutka stated in an interview that Bible Eyes was created as a tribute to his great-grandmother. [7]

In 2012, Egyptrixx began a side project with former Thrush Hermit member Ian McGettigan, called Hiawatha. [8] [9] The duo's debut album, Language, was released on September 25, 2012 through Last Gang Records. [10] In 2012 McGettigan was replaced by Cameron Gilpin, formerly of Bad Robot(s) Evil Doer.

Psutka released the 2nd Egyptrixx album entitled "A/B til Infinity" in 2013 - the album was a multimedia collaboration with German visual artist ANF and received critical acclaim upon release. The album emphasized a minimalist or deconstructionist approach. [11] Psutka announced his new label "Halocline Trance" and the third Egyptrixx LP entitled "Transfer of Energy [Feelings of Power], which will be the label's first release. [12] Psutka has also worked on various other projects as a studio producer. [13]

Psutka retired the Egyptrixx project and announced an album under the name ACT! in 2018. The album, "Universalist" was released on Halocline Trance in July, 2018.

With his various projects, Psutka has toured extensively and performed at Sónar, Roskilde Festival, Mutek, CTM Festival and more.

In 2019, Halocline Trance released the debut album of Chinese-born visual artist, Xuan Ye. The album, "XI XI 息息" compiled sound improvisations from a three year period of performance. Boomkat called it an "Intriguing debut album of disjointed, abstract computer music and free improv" [14]

Ferry Corsten is a Dutch disc jockey, record producer and remixer from Rotterdam. He is well known for producing many pioneering trance tracks during the 1990s–2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Gouryella. Gabriel & Dresden is an American electronic music duo comprising Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden, formed in San Francisco, California. They collaborated from 2001 to 2008, then again from 2011 to the present. During that time, they have created numerous hit songs and remixes, some of which are considered classics. They won the coveted Winter Music Conference IDMA award for "Best American DJ" twice, in 2007 and 2008, the latter time on the same day that the group split up. The pair reunited in early 2011 and proceeded on a reunion tour, which began at Ruby Skye in San Francisco on March 4, 2011. Todd Edward Imperatrice, known professionally as Todd Edwards, is an American garage house record producer, DJ and singer from Bloomfield, New Jersey. He began producing primarily for New York's Nervous Records in the 1990s, including under aliases such as the Messenger and the Sample Choir. She is a former member of Klipmode alongside Mndsgn, Devonwho, & Knxwledge; with many collaborations between them during the rise of the international beatmaking culture. Suzi credits her name to the alter-ego of RZA, Bobby Digital, one of her favorite hip-hop producers. Her style fuses soul, hip-hop lyrics, and vocal processes characterized by synthesizers and electronic bass instruments.
