Ehrnrooth

Ehrnrooth is a Finnish noble family of German origin. It originated from Pomerania, and came to Finland from Livonia around 1600. Its status descends from Johan Plagman (1623-1696), who was raised to nobility in 1687. The family was registered in the Finnish House of Nobility in 1818. [1] [2]

Göran Ehrnrooth 1905–1996

Göran Ehrnrooth was a bank manager in Union Bank Finland. Göran Ehrnrooth was married to Louise von Julin, daughter of Jacob von Julin, the CEO of Kaukas paper factory. Their children are Casimir Ehrnrooth (b. 1931) UPM-Kymmene CEO, Göran J. Ehrnrooth (b. 1934), Robert Ehrnrooth (b. 1939) EFFOA-Suomen Höyrylaiva CEO and Elsa Margaretha Louise Fromond (b. 1942). [5]

Casimir Ehrnrooth's children are Henrik Ehrnrooth (b. 1954), CEO of Pöyry, Johanna Ehrnrooth (1958–2020), painter, Georg J. C. Ehrnrooth (b. 1966), and Carl-Gustaf Ehrnrooth (b. 1969), a member of Guggenheim Foundation Board of Directors since September 2008. [6]

Provincial Governors of Finland

The Governor, Finnish: Maaherra, or Swedish: Landshövding, of a province of Finland headed the activities of the State Provincial Office, Finnish: Lääninhallitus, or Swedish: Länsstyrelse until the end of 2009, when the provinces were abolished. Göran Albert Casimir "Casse" Ehrnrooth, titled Vuorineuvos, was a Finnish magnate and former chairman of the Nokia Corporation. His business career began in the forest industry, and later he was a director of UPM-Kymmene and Merita-Nordbanken.

Vuorineuvos is a Finnish honorary title granted by the President of Finland to leading figures in industry and commerce. The title is honorary and has no responsibilities and no privileges. All Finnish titles are non-hereditary. The only title of equal rank is valtioneuvos.

Schauman is a Swedo-Finnish noble family introduced in both the Swedish House of Nobility and the Finnish House of Nobility. Originally known as a family of high-ranking soldiers, since the 1800s its representatives have become known in numerous other fields. The family is from the Baltic countries and moved to Finland at the end of the 1600s. It is considered to be from the nobility of Courland. However, according to an alternative theory the roots of the family could be in Kurpfalz, Germany, in which in 1596 a family with the same name was ennobled.

eQ Bank Abp, founded in 1998, is a Finnish bank specialising in internet brokerage and asset management for retail clients. The parent company of eQ Bank Abp, eQ Corporation, was acquired by Straumur Investment Bank in 2007 for approx 260 million euros. Nordnet bought eQ Bank Abp in May 2009 for 400 million Swedish crowns.

Henrik Göran Casimir Ehrnrooth is a Finnish economist, manager and investor. He has been CEO and President at KONE since April 2014. Previously he served as KONE's CFO between 2009–2014. Prior to his career at KONE, he worked at Goldman Sachs from 1998–2009, most recently as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division and at UBS in various positions from 1994–1998. He studied at the University of Helsinki and the Hanken School of Economics and graduated from the latter in 1981.

Göran Ehrnrooth

Göran Ehrnrooth was a Finnish banker in Union Bank (Pohjoismaiden Yhdyspankki, later after several mergers Nordea. Göran Ehrnrooth worked for the Union Bank since 1933. He launched Mandatum. His successor was Mika Tiivola.

Clas Göran Jakob Ehrnrooth, titled Vuorineuvos[sv: Bergsråd] was Fiskars Oy CEO in 1969–1983. The Member of Boards in Virala Oy 1977- and Wärtsilä 1992.

Carl-Gustaf Casimir Ehrnrooth is a Finnish investor. He has been a member of the Guggenheim Foundation's Board of Directors since September 2008. The Guggenheim Foundation was targeting a museum in the city of Helsinki with public funds of €140 million or €300 million.

Georg Johan Casimir Ehrnrooth is a Finnish investor, the major owner with his brothers of Finnish HEX exchange stock companies EQ Bank, YIT and Pöyry.

Albert Ludvig Lindsay von Julin was a Finnish engineer, businessman and vuorineuvos.

Albert von Julin Finnish business man

Johan Albert Edvard von Julin was a Finnish business man and vuorineuvos, who served as Fiskars Ab's CEO from 1875, rescuing a company in financial difficulties. He was the uncle of Gustaf Mannerheim, who was later known as the Marshal of Finland and the Commander-in-chief of the Finnish Defence Forces.
