Elanders is a Swedish printing company doing business in ten countries and directing a number of subsidiaries. Since 1989 the company has been listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange.

History

Elanders was created from a print office founded in 1908 by Otto Elander, Nils Hellner and Emil Ekström in Sweden.

In January 2007 Elanders acquired the Sommer Corporate Media in Waiblingen, Germany. 5 years later, in March 2012 the acquisition of the fotokasten and the d|o|m Deutsche Online Medien GmbH in Waiblingen followed. [2] [3]

Elanders continued its strategic enterprise development in the area of photo finishing by acquiring the Berlin-based photobook manufacturer myphotobook GmbH with business operations throughout Europe in 2013. [4] [5]

Ciao (website) shopping web site

Ciao was a European-based online-shopping portal with websites in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Sweden. In February 2008, the company launched an American version of the site, Ciao.com. The site provided a forum where registered users could write reviews and give their opinions on a wide variety of products to help others make decisions. These reviews were available to the general public to help consumers, but also rated by other Ciao users on their usefulness on a scale ranging from exceptional to off-topic. Up to December 2017, when a review was read by a member, the author had money added to their account. Members could also receive money through online surveys and referring friends. On 27 November 2017, Ciao announced that from 1 December all payments would be stopped. In February 2018, Ciao was closed down. Ciao was free to sign up for.

Uniper German energy company

Uniper SE [ˈjuːnipɚ] is an energy company based in Düsseldorf, Germany. The name of the company is a portmanteau of "unique" and "performance" given by long term employee Gregor Recke. Uniper was formed by the separation of E.ON's fossil fuel assets into a separate company that began operating on 1 January 2016. The company employs about 11,000 employees in over 40 countries. Around one third of the employees are based in Germany. It owns a subsidiary company in Russia called Unipro. Uniper is listed at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Traton SE, known as the Traton Group, is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group and one of the world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturers with its MAN, Scania, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus brands.
