Electronica (stylized as electronica) is a trade fair for the electronics industry. [1] The exhibitors who participate in it present electronic components, systems, applications and services.
Organized by Messe München, Electronica has been held at the Messe München trade-fair center every other year in November (alternating with productronica) since 1964.[ citation needed ] The 2020 edition was held online due to the COVID pandemic. [2]
Electronica places special emphasis on automotive and vehicle electronics and on the sectors for embedded hardware and software with two special exhibition sectors, i.e. “electronica automotive” and “electronica embedded”. Besides the exhibition areas at the fair itself, electronica also features the “automotive Forum”, the “electronica automotive conference” and the “embedded Forum” as additional event platforms for visitors and exhibitors in these sectors. [3] For the first time ever, the 2012 fair also featured the new “embedded platforms conference” which addressed embedded-systems engineers who could gather information about selecting the right platform for their needs. Besides Electronica in Munich, Messe München International also organizes other international trade fairs for the electronics industry abroad such as Electronic Asia (stylized as electronic Asia) in Hong Kong, Electronica China (stylized as electronica China) and productronica China in Shanghai, and Electronica India (stylized as electronica India) and productronica India (alternating between Bangalore and New Delhi). Electronica 2016 was held in Munich, Germany from the 8 to 11 of November 2016. [7]
Electronica India 2017 was held in New Delhi, at Pragati Maidan India from the September 14 to 16, 2017.
Electronica India 2018 was held in Bengaluru, at BIEC India from the September 26 to 28, 2018.
LinuxTag was an annual Free and Open Source Software (FLOSS) conference and exposition with an emphasis on Linux but also BSD descendants located in Germany. The name is a compound with the German Tag meaning "Day", as it was initially a single day conference, but soon extended to multiple days, then always including a weekend. LinuxTag was the world's largest FLOSS conference and exhibition for years and aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Linux and Free Software market as well to promote contacts between users and developers. With this broad approach LinuxTag was one of the most important events of this kind.
The Hannover Messe is one of the world's largest trade fairs, dedicated to the topic of industry development. It is organized by Deutsche Messe AG and held on the Hanover Fairground in Hanover, Germany. Typically, there are about 6,500 exhibitors and over 200,000 visitors.

Berlin International Green Week, also called simply Green Week, is an important international trade fair held annually in Berlin, Germany, for processors and marketers in agriculture, horticulture and various food industries. Green Week traditionally takes place at the beginning of the year in the Messe Berlin exhibition halls under the Funkturm and is open to the general public. In 2010 it had around 400,000 visitors. That same year, the Paris International Agricultural Show had 650,000 visitors.
Heimtextil in Frankfurt am Main, Germany is an international trade fair for home and contract textiles with more than 2,700 exhibitors and roughly 67,000 trade visitors. Throughout the four days of the event in mid-January, the trade fair serves as a business and information platform for manufacturers, retailers and designers from around the world. Messe München GmbH is the operator of the Neue Messe München exhibition center, the ICM Internationales Congress Center München and the MOC Veranstaltungscenter München. The exhibition space of the 16 halls together is 180,000 m2 and another 425,000 m2 of outdoor area, making Messe München by far the holder of the largest outdoor area of all exhibition companies in Germany. Messe München organizes some 40 trade fairs for capital and consumer goods and key high-tech industries in Munich and abroad.
Automechanika is the world's biggest trade fair for the automobile aftermarket. It is held every two years at the Messe Frankfurt. In distinction to the Motor Show, Automechanika is open to trading visitors only.
EuroShop is a trade fair for capital goods for the retail industry which has taken place since 1966. Held every three years on the grounds of Messe Düsseldorf, the initiator of the fair is the EHI Retail Institute.
Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH is a legal entity owned by the city of Hamburg. The Hamburg exhibition complex is host to more than 40 events managed by HMC or third-party organizers annually, drawing over 15,000 exhibitors and 700,000 visitors. In addition, the CCH has hosted approximately 250 conferences, conventions, annual meetings and other events per annum until the end of 2016, attracting an additional 300,000 national and international attendees. The owners of the CCH, CCH Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG, launched a comprehensive remodeling and modernization campaign of the convention center in January, 2017.
The India Mobile Congress (IMC) is the largest digital technologies' forum in Asia, consisting of a three-day international conference and a technology exhibition. The event is envisioned to be the "leading platform for India's start-up and technology ecosystem." Within the telecommunications and technology industry, IMC is already known as the "largest digital technology forum in Asia." The mega-event is organised jointly by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India. The forum aims to be a platform for industry, businesses, regulators and policymakers to discuss and deliberate on critical issues affecting the growth and proliferation of the telecom and technology sector. In the first two editions, IMC was focused on the transformative technology of 5G and most of the booths showcased various use-cases and scenarios where 5G would play an important role; the exhibitors included service providers, OEMs and infrastructure providers.
