Dragon Tales is an animated educational fantasy children's television series created by Jim Coane and Ron Rodecker and developed by Coane, Wesley Eure, Jeffrey Scott, Cliff Ruby and Elana Lesser and produced by Sony Pictures Television, Sesame Workshop, Columbia TriStar Television, and Adelaide Productions. The story focuses on the adventures of two ordinary kids, Emmy and Max, and their dragon friends Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie, and Quetzal. The series began broadcasting on PBS on their newly-renamed PBS Kids block on September 6, 1999, with its final episode on November 25, 2005. Yearim Productions was responsible for the animation for all seasons, with the exception of Koko Enterprises, which recorded the show along with BLT Productions. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, The U.S. Department of Education, cereal company Kellogg's and their associated products Rice Krispies, Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes, and greeting card manufacturer, American Greetings were responsible for the funding.
Mitsuo Iwata is a Japanese actor, voice actor and singer who was born in Tokorozawa, Saitama. He is married to voice actress Rikako Aikawa. Mania.com praised him as "truly one of the greatest seiyuu". Otakunews.com complimented him for the role of Tetsuya from Outlanders. Mania.com comments on his role of Kintaro Oe that he "practiced months before hand, to the point of going hoarse from overwork, to perfect Kintaro's voice" and "there's no one who could replace him for this role". He is also known for the role of Kaneda in the 1988 anime film Akira and won the 7th Seiyu Awards for Best Personality in 2013. He was previously affiliated with Office Osawa and Across Entertainment, but is currently affiliated with Aoni Production.
Akemi Okamura is a Japanese voice actress and narrator. She performed a song in the NHK program Minna no Uta and currently voices Nami in One Piece.
Arjuna is a Japanese anime television series created by Shoji Kawamori. The series follows Juna Ariyoshi, a high school girl chosen to be the "Avatar of Time" and entrusted with saving the dying Earth. Arjuna aired for 12 episodes on TV Tokyo from January to March 2001. The DVD release featured remastered video and sound, and a previously unbroadcast "Chapter 9".
Scott McNeil is an Australian-born Canadian actor. He currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
