Elizabeth Adjei is a Ghanaian diplomat. In September 2002, she was appointed as the director of the Ghana Immigration Service, making her the first woman to occupy such a position. Early life and education

Adjei was born in Ghana. For her secondary education, she attended the Archbishop Porter Girls' Secondary School in Takoradi and St. Louis Senior High School in Kumasi. She then proceeded to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She holds a Master's Degree in International Development from Cornell University in New York, as well as certificates in Management and Personnel Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration and a Diploma in French from University of Benin. Career

After completing university, Adjei did her national service at the Ghana Immigration service where she worked as a personal assistant to the then head of the institution. She later joined the service in 1988 and worked as an administrative assistant. In 2002, she became the first woman to be appointed as director of the Ghana Immigration Service, a position she held until 2011. [11] [12]

She was appointed as Ghana's Ambassador to Spain in 2015 by President John Dramani Mahama, a position she held through till 2020 when her tenure ended. After the New Patriotic Party came into power, her mandate as ambassador was renewed by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for 3 years. [6] [10] [13]

Margaret Ivy Amoakohene is a Ghanaian academic and diplomat. She has served in various sectors of governance and academia. She was Ghana's High Commissioner to Canada in the John Agyekum Kufour administration. She is a senior lecturer and acting director of the School of Communication Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon. She is currently a member of the Council of State.

Esther Dzifa Ofori is a Ghanaian diplomat and a member of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana. She is currently Ghana's ambassador to Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

Amerley Awua-Asamoa is a Ghanaian diplomat, corporate and non-profit executive. A member of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana, she served as Ghana's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark from 2017 to 2021. As ambassador, she had concurrent diplomatic accreditation to Finland, Iceland and Sweden.

Mercy Bampo Addo is a Ghanaian diplomat and a member of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana. She is currently Ghana's High Commissioner to Malta, having assumed office in July 2017. Between 2003 and 2009 she was the Deputy Minister and speech writer for the President of Ghana.
