Elizabeth Ndudi (born 21 March 2005) is an Irish track and field athlete. She won the long jump at the 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships, making her Ireland's first field event medalist at such a championship. [1]
Ndudi holds the longest Irish jump, followed by Kelly Proper. At the 2024 Gary Wieneke Memorial, in April, she set a national record with a jump of 6.68m. [2] Ndudi won the long jump at the 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships, with a result of 6.56m. [1] [3] She has previously won the Irish National Championships held in Morton Stadium, Dublin in July 2023 and the Irish National Indoor Championships held in the National Indoor Arena, Abbotstown, Dublin in February 2023. Ndudi was born in Dublin, Ireland to a Nigerian father and a Dutch-Irish mother. She grew up in Dundrum, Dublin until the age of 11, when she moved to Nantes, France. Ndudi has been attending the University of Illinois, USA on a scholarship, since autumn 2023. [1] [5] [6] [2]
Ivana Španović is a Serbian long jumper, the 2023 World champion, a two-time World indoor champion, a two-time European champion, a three-time European indoor champion and a five-time Diamond League Trophy Winner. Considering her achievements and longevity, Ivana Španović is regarded as one of the greatest female long jumpers of all time, with her indoor 7.24m jump ranked 3rd in all-time records.
Miltiadis "Miltos" Tentoglou is a Greek long jump athlete, who is 14th in the all time lists, but one of the best in terms of achievements, as he is a double Olympic Champion with World and European titles also to his name in a career which has brought him 13 gold medals.
Tara Davis-WoodhallOLY is an American track and field athlete. She won a gold medal in women's long jump at the 2024 Summer Olympics and also a silver medal at the 2023 World Championships. In 2017, she set the American junior women's record in the indoor long jump, and placed 6th in the women's long jump final at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Davis-Woodhall is also a hurdler.
Christopher O'Donnell is an Irish track and field athlete competing in sprinting events. He was part of the Irish Mixed 4x400m team who won a gold medal at the 2024 European Athletics Championships. He represented Ireland at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in the Mixed 4 × 400 m relay, where he was part of the first ever Irish team to run in an Olympic final, and competed in the same event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He was also part of the team who reached the final of the 2022 and 2023 World Championships. He is the current Irish U20 record holder in the 400m, his personal best of 45.26 seconds sits joint-2nd on the Irish all-time list and he is a 5-time National 400m champion.
Yaroslava Oleksiivna Mahuchikh is a Ukrainian high jumper and women's high jump world record holder. She won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, 2023 World Championships and 2022 World Indoor Championships. Mahuchikh is also the 2020 Summer Olympics bronze medalist, 2019 and 2022 World Championships silver medalist and 2024 World Indoor Championships silver medalist. She is a three-times Diamond League title holder.
Matthew Boling is an American track and field athlete specializing in the sprints and long jump. He won four gold medals at the 2019 Pan American U20 Championships in the 100 m, 200 m, 4 × 100 m relay and 4 × 400 m relay, and helped set world under-20 records in both of the relay races for the United States. He also ran in the semi-final for the American 4 × 400 m relay team at the 2018 World U20 Championships that went on to earn silver in the final. Boling would later go on to win a gold medal at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in the mixed 4 x 400 m relay, and would help set a world record for the event in the process.
Tuğba Danışmaz is a Turkish track and field athlete competing in the long jump and triple jump. She won the gold medal for the triple jump at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. Danışmaz claimed silver and gold at the 2019 and 2021 European Under-23 Championships respectively.
Jasmine Moore is an American athlete. She won the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in both the long jump and the triple jump event. In 2022, she became the first American woman to qualify for the World Athletics Championships in both the long jump and the triple jump.
Israel Olatunde is an Irish professional track and field athlete specializing in the sprints. He competed at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships, and reached the final of the 100 metres at the 2022 European Athletics Championships, the first Irishman ever to do so, and where he finished sixth in an Irish record time. He later broke the national record in the 60 metres in 2023.
