Elkton is an extinct town in Teller County, in the U.S. state of Colorado. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place. [1]
Teller County is one of the 64 counties in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2010 census, the population was 23,350. The county seat is Cripple Creek, and the most populous city is Woodland Park.

A post office called Elkton was established in 1895, and remained in operation until 1926. [2] The community was named for the abundance of elk. [3]
