Ellen Meijers is a Dutch video game music composer and audio designer who worked for such companies as Apple Inc., LucasArts, Oddworld Inhabitants [1] and Crystal Dynamics.

Her first notable achievement was the earning of the Highest Honors in International Piano Competition (Antwerp, Belgium — 1988).

In 1995 she won the Adobe-award for the most professional project shown at the Royal College of Art exhibition.

She also won the Editors' Choice Award for Best Sound (Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee — 1997) and was a finalist for the first Interactive Achievement Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound and Music (Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus — 1998).

It was released in November 1998 for the PlayStation video game console and in December 1998 for Microsoft Windows. A Game Boy Color version, titled Oddworld Adventures 2, was released in 2000. The title was also released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U. It has been ported on iOS and Android and released worldwide on 14 December 2017. A Nintendo Switch version was released on 27 October 2020.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is a platform game developed and published by Oddworld Inhabitants. It was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows in April 2021, with an enhanced edition released in November 2021 alongside a port for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. A port for Nintendo Switch, subtitled Oddtimized Edition, was released in November 2022. It is the sequel to 2014's Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! and a re-imagining of 1998's Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus as it was originally envisioned. The game received mixed reviews from critics and was downloaded over 4 million times through PlayStation Plus.

The Game Audio Network Guild Awards is an award show that celebrates excellence in video game audio. The awards, which started in 2004, are arranged by the Game Audio Network Guild and held annually during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The first four shows were held at the Fairmont San Jose, before moving to the Moscone Center from the fifth; due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 18th, 19th, and 20th ceremonies were held virtually.

The 3rd Annual Interactive Achievement Awards is the 3rd edition of the Interactive Achievement Awards, an annual awards event that honors the best games in the video game industry. The awards are arranged by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), and were held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California on May 11, 2000 during E3 2000. It was hosted by Martin Short, and featured presenters included Martin Lewis, Ahmet Zappa, Stevie Case, Brian Fargo, Alison Sweeney, Harry Shearer, Elisa Donovan, Leah Lail, Carmine Giovinazzo, Delroy Lindo, and Peter Molyneux. This would be the final year the awards ceremony would be held during E3.

The D.I.C.E. Award for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition is an award presented annually by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences during the academy's annual D.I.C.E. Awards. This award is "presented to the individual or team whose work represents the highest level of achievement in original musical composition for an interactive title. Both the quality of the score and the integration of the score into the title will be considered when determining the recipient of the award." Creative/technical academy members with expertise as an audio designer or musician are qualified to vote for this award.
