Huston won his first Olympic medal, a bronze, in the 2024 Olympic men's street event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

The 1080 is a skateboarding trick that can be performed on a vertical skateboard ramp or on a mega ramp, in which the skateboarder makes three full revolutions while airborne. It was first completed successfully on a mega ramp in 2012 by American skateboarder Tom Schaar, and on a vert ramp in May 2020 by Brazilian skateboarder Gui Khury. The 1080 has only ever been landed after a fakie ollie, meaning the rider is in the normal stance, but rolling in the opposite direction, popping off of the tail.

He was the first skateboarder to land a "1080," which is three revolutions, and was the youngest X Games gold medalist after completing the first 1080 in a competition at the 2012 Asia X Games in Shanghai; Forbes Magazine listed Schaar to their 2020 30 Under 30 Sports category highlighting the next generation of Sports talent. Schaar won the silver medal in the men's park skateboarding competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Mitchell "Mitchie" Brusco is an American pro skateboarder. Nicknamed "Little Tricky", he began skateboarding at the age of three in Kirkland, Washington, gaining popularity and recognition as a young talent in skateboarding. Brusco is the first skateboarder in history to successfully land a 1260, a skateboard trick in which the rider makes three-and-half revolutions in the air before landing, in competition. He also has held other records involving the 1080 and the 900.
Guilherme Khury is a Brazilian skateboarder. He is the first person to land a 1080 on a vertical ramp and the youngest person to win a gold medal at the X-Games.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a 2020 skateboarding video game developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision. It was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on September 4, 2020, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 26, 2021, and Nintendo Switch on June 25 of the same year. It is a remake of the first two games in the Tony Hawk's series: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (1999) and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (2000), which were originally developed by Neversoft. It is the first major console game in the series since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 (2015) and is Vicarious Visions' final work as a subsidiary of Activision before it was merged into Blizzard Entertainment on January 22, 2021.
Arisa Trew is an Australian skateboarder. She won the gold medal for the women's park skateboarding event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris at the age of 14 making her Australia's youngest ever Olympic champion. She is the first women's skateboarder to land a 720 and a 900 in competition.
