Emst is a village in the municipality of Epe in the province of Gelderland in the Netherlands. It is the birthplace of former footballer Marc Overmars. [3] Emst is located in the forest area of Veluwe.

Emst was first mentioned between 1255 and 1256 as van Emze. The etymology is unknown. [4] In 1860, it was home to 1,280 people. A Dutch Reformed Church was built in 1864. It burnt down in 1930, but was rebuilt the same year. [5]

The 1998 FA Cup Final was a football match between Arsenal and Newcastle United on 16 May 1998 at the old Wembley Stadium, London. It was the final match of the 1997–98 FA Cup, the 117th season of the world's oldest football knockout competition, the FA Cup. Six-time winners Arsenal were appearing in their thirteenth final, whereas Newcastle United, having also won the competition six times, appeared in their eleventh final. It was the third time both teams faced each other in a FA Cup final; Newcastle won the previous two encounters in 1932 and 1952.

The 1997–98 season was the 100th season of competitive football played by Arsenal. Managed by Arsène Wenger in his first full season, the club ended the campaign winning the league championship for the first time in seven years. At Wembley Stadium, Arsenal beat Newcastle United 2–0 in the 1998 FA Cup Final to win the competition and complete a domestic double – the second in the club's history and the first since 1970–71.
