Idrissa Ouédraogo was a Burkinabé filmmaker. His work often explored the conflict between rural and city life and tradition and modernity in his native Burkina Faso and elsewhere in Africa. He is best known for his feature film Tilaï, which won the Grand Prix at the 1990 Cannes Film Festival and Samba Traoré (1993), which was nominated for the Silver Bear award at the 43rd Berlin International Film Festival.
The Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou is a film festival in Burkina Faso, held biennially in Ouagadougou, where the organization is based. Lucie Memba Bos is a Cameroonian actress, movie producer who have starred in both series and movies in French and English language. She was honored for best lead actress in Cinema of Cameroon for French speaking actress at Cameroon Movies Merit Award (CMMA) 2013 edition organized by Fred Keyanti. She did her International debut with Nollywood stars in the movie Pink Poison featuring Jim Iyke and Far starred alongside Nigerian Dakore Akande. In 2014 she launched L.M.B production after her name [Lucie Memba Bos].Producing the Cameroon movie Paradise, still in 2014. she co-produce La patrie d’abord, the first film of war in tribute to the Cameroonian defense forces under her production. In September, 2017 she was nominated as best Cameroonian female actor for le TROPHEES FRANCOPHONES DU CINEMA in the film La Patrie D'abord.
Achille Brice is a Cameroonian filmmaker, producer and movie director. His work in Life Point was recognized among the 20 of 1,000 movies submitted to contest at l'Étalon d'or de Yennenga at the Pan African Film Festival in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. In 2011, he received three nominations as best filmmaker in Cameroon at the Zulu African Film Academy Awards for Obsession, the first Cameroonian English language film to be nominated in the Ecrans Noirs Film Festival for Ecrans D'Afrique Central, Prix Charles Mensa at the CRANS Noir Film Festival. He is the founder of BinAm Studios, an open forum for filmmakers to share and advertise their product.

The Fisherman's Diary is a 2020 Cameroonian drama film directed by Enah Johnscott. The film premiered at the 2020 I Will Tell International Film Festival. It was selected as the Cameroonian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards, but it was not nominated. The film was nominated for Best Feature Film at the 2020 Paris Art and Movie Awards.
African Federation of Film Critics is a panafricanist federation grouping African and diaspora's film critics associations, as well as individuals. It was founded in 2004 and as of 2023, the AFFC is composed of 43 associations and 456 editors. Its headquarters are in Senegal.
