Endtime Productions is an independent record label based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The label focuses on extreme metal music and helped notable groups such as Norway's Extol to gain fame and get a record deal with Century Media Records. Notable groups on the label's roster include Antestor, Drottnar and Crimson Moonlight. [1] The label is known for their detailed graphic designs, packagings and elaborate cover arts.

Gothenburg is the second-largest city in Sweden, fifth-largest in the Nordic countries, and capital of the Västra Götaland County. It is situated by Kattegat, on the west coast of Sweden, and has a population of approximately 570,000 in the city center and about 1 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area.

Extol are a progressive extreme Christian metal band from Bekkestua, Norway that was formed in 1993. The band is known for playing a variety of different styles of metal which include progressive metal, death metal, black metal and thrash metal.

History

The label was founded in 1998. The first band on the label's roster was Norway's Extol, and Extol's Burial was the label's first release in 1998. Unusual for a metal label many noted guest industrial musicians such as Sanctum's Jan Carleklev and Raison d'être's Peter Anderssen was invited to do industrial remixes for Extol's work on the following release Mesmerized . The signing to US based Solid State Records helped Extol to become more popular and was signed to Century Media in 2003.

<i>Burial</i> (Extol album) 1998 studio album by Extol

Burial is the first album by the Norwegian Christian metal band Extol. It was released on Endtime Productions and then Solid State Records the following year. According to Allmusic, Burial was "a breath of fresh air among a genre that relies on satanic gimmicks", and marked a renewal in the Christian metal scene. In 2010, HM magazine ranked it #13 on the Top 100 Christian metal albums of all-time list.

Sanctum (band)

Sanctum is a band from Sweden formed in 1994. Their music is often classified as industrial or electronic, and combines elements of orchestral and contemporary music. Lately experimental music has become a dominant influence. Sanctum originally consisted of four members, Jan Carleklev, Marika Kante, Håkan Paulsson and Lena Robért. The singer Lena Robért and the cellist Marika Kante left the band in 2001. Nowadays Jan Carleklev and Håkan Paulsson continue with the help of guest vocalists.

<i>Mesmerized</i> (Extol album) Norwegian Christian metal band Extol EP

Mesmerized is an EP by the Norwegian Christian metal band Extol and their second official release. It was released on Endtime Productions and Solid State Records.

Endtime Productions signed groups such as Antestor, Lengsel and Anaemia, and released Antestor's Martyrium (recorded already 1994) for the first time to wider audience in 2000 as well as Anaemia's The Second Incarnation and Lengsel's acclaimed album Solace . Notable albums released during following years included the release of Vardoger's Whitefrozen EP, Antestor's EP Det Tapte Liv in 2004 and full-length The Forsaken in 2005.

Lengsel is a progressive black metal band that formed in 1994 in Norway. They released one album, called Solace, on Endtime Productions in 2000, which was subsequently licensed to Solid State Records for an American release. The second album The Kiss, the Hope was released in 2007. Their name means "longing" in Norwegian; the idea of longing for home is a prominent theme on their debut release.

<i>Martyrium</i> (album) 2000 studio album by Antestor

Martyrium is the first recorded and second released studio album by the Norwegian unblack metal band Antestor. It is one of the earliest Christian extreme metal albums released in Norway. Recorded in 1994, Martyrium was not immediately released, though bootleg copies of the album were printed in 1997 by Morphine Records. It then gained a cult following among a small audience until it was officially released in 2000 by Endtime Productions.

<i>Solace</i> (Lengsel album) 2000 studio album by Lengsel

Solace is the first full length album by the Norwegian metal band Lengsel. A renowned album, Solace initially was released on Endtime Productions as a digipak edition in 2000. Around this time the vocalist and guitarist was also a bass player for fellow Norwegian band Extol, who had at the time become an immensely popular band on the American label Tooth and Nail Records' imprint Solid State Records. Label owner Brandon Ebel licensed Solace for Solid State, marketing it with stickers on the album cover stating that it includes members of Extol. The album was also licensed for the German label Black Sun Records.

In 2006, Endtime signed Drottnar and Crimson Moonlight and released the Drottnar's album Welterwerk and in 2007 released Crimson Moonlight's EP In Depths of Dreams Unconscious .

Drottnar band

Drottnar is a extreme metal band from Fredrikstad, Norway. Formed in 1996, the band has released three albums, Spiritual Battle (2000), Welterwerk (2006), and Stratum, and an EP titled Anamorphosis (2003). The first album was released on UK label Plankton Records. They are currently signed to Swedish label Endtime Productions.

Crimson Moonlight band

Crimson Moonlight is a Swedish unblack metal band. The band was formed in the summer of 1997 with the mere intention of recording a primitive old school black metal demo and playing one show before breaking up. However, the breakup never happened, and they have since recorded two EPs and three full-length albums. They were previously signed to Rivel Records, currently to Endtime Productions. They have toured US twice, and have been featured in two metal documentary films.

<i>Welterwerk</i> album by Drottnar

Welterwerk is the first full-length album by Norwegian extreme metal band Drottnar, released on Endtime Productions in 2006.

The German band Opus Irae was signed in 2016.

Antestor Norwegian band

Antestor is a Norwegian unblack metal band formed in 1990 in Jessheim. Credited for starting the northern European Christian black metal scene, Antestor is the only Christian band to have an album released by Cacophonous Records, which has also released records by bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Sigh, and Cradle of Filth. The band's only release on Cacophonous, The Return of the Black Death, proved influential for the Christian black metal movement, and has sold over 10,000 copies.

Facedown Records Christian record label based in Fallbrook, California, United States

Facedown Records is a Christian rock record label based in Fallbrook, California that is devoted to hardcore punk and metalcore bands with a few death metal acts such as Immortal Souls and Indwelling. Founded by No Innocent Victim drummer Jason Dunn, the label started small with a number of 7" record releases by Overcome, Dodgin Bullets, and Born Blind. As the label grew, it was able to sign artists for full album deals. xDISCIPLEx and the Deal, who were both popular in the Christian and secular scenes, released material on Facedown, as well as Figure Four, One-21, and Point of Recognition. The label also signs straight edge groups such as xDEATHSTARx and xLooking Forwardx.

Indie Recordings record label

Indie Recordings is a Norwegian record label focusing on hard rock and heavy metal, founded in 2005 by Erik and Espen Røhne as a side project of Indie Distribution. In 2006 Erlend Gjerde joined Indie Recordings and Indie Distribution and together they developed the label from a "hobby project" into one of the leading independent record labels in Scandinavia, releasing gold albums by bands Kvelertak and Satyricon. Indie Recordings mainly focused on developing Norwegian acts like 1349, Kvelertak, Satyricon, Enslaved, God Seed, Keep of Kalessin, Wardruna, Audrey Horne, and Oslo Ess. But the label has also signed foreign acts such as Cult of Luna, Hacride, and Steak Number Eight.
