Major communities in Eneka are: Rumuowha, Rumuogunuma, Rumuolukwu, Rumuchiolu, and Rumuesera.

Wrestling is one of the most celebrated cultures of the Eneka people. [2] Wrestling is dialectically known as "Egelege". [3]

The Ikwerre is one of the Igbo subgroups in Rivers State. They are the biggest ethnic group in Rivers state.Traditional history has classified Ikwerre into seven groups called "Ikwerre Essa". They are Elele, Isiokpo, Rumuji, Emohua, Choba, Aluu, Igwuruta and Obio group. This division was recognized by Forde and Jones; (1950) in their ethnographic study of the Igbo speaking peoples of South Eastern Nigeria though has been disputed by indigenous ikwerre people. It was also in line with this grouping those seven customary Courts were established in Ikwerre during the Colonial administration. These Courts were located at Elele, Isiokpo, Umuji, Emohua, Choba, Aluu and Obio in Ikwerreland.

Ogba–Egbema–Ndoni is a Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria under Rivers West Senatorial District, with its capital at Omoku. With about 258,700 People according to 2006 Census, It is bounded by Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Abia and Anambra states and also by Ahoada West, Ahoada East and Emohua Local Government Areas of Rivers State. They are part of the Igboid speaking Areas of Rivers State with three Tribes starting with Ogba as the dominant tribe with 12 legislative wards and the Egbema and Ndoni Tribes with 2&3 legislative wards respectively. Igwuruta is a town in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria. It is made up of 9 villages;Igwuruta-Ali, Omuodukwu, Omunobo, Omuchi, Omuohia, Omueke, Agboga, Omumah and Omuwie. It is located near Omagwa, a community hosting the Port Harcourt International Airport. Its geographic coordinates are: 4°57′15″N7°0′45″E. with a population of 50,000 people. Schools found around this area include: Brookstone School Secondary, Charles Dale Memorial International School, Springflowers International Schools, Queens International High School, Ozulems International Montessori School, Beryl Education Centre and Evidence Bloom School. Boniface Sunday Emerengwa is a Nigerian lawyer and People's Democratic Party politician. He represents Ikwerre-Emohua constituency in the House of Representatives of Nigeria, a post he was elected to in March 2015. Emerengwa has served as Rivers State Budget and Economic Planning Commissioner. He is also a former Chairman of Ikwerre local government area in the state.

Andrew Igbonule Uchendu is a Nigerian politician. He is currently a member of the Senate of Nigeria representing the Rivers East senatorial district. He had always been a member of the People's Democratic Party until 2014 when he switched allegiance to the All Progressives Congress party. Between 2003 and 2015, he represented the Ikwerre–Emohua constituency in the Federal House of Representatives.

Eglege festival is a wrestling festival widely celebrated by the Ikwerre community, in the Obio-Akpor local government area of the Rivers State. It is one of the most celebrated festivals by Ikwerre people. Elimgbu and Otah communities are known for their celebration of the Eglege festival and the festival is used to depict the traditional theatre, used to progress unity among the people.

Isiokpo is a town in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria.
