Enigma Motorsport is a British racing car team founded by racing driver Linton Stutely and engineer Thomas Farquhar.
Formed in 2008 they have prepared Formula Ford racing cars for the British Formula Ford Championship. Their most successful year was in 2010 with Finnish driver, Antti Buri claiming several podium finishes. [1] They also ran a car in the Finnish Formula Ford championship in partnership with LMS Racing, with Buri becoming the 2010 Finnish Formula Ford Championship champion. [2]
In 2011 they ran a Mygale chassis for Philippe Layac.

The British Formula Ford Championship was an entry-level single seater motor racing category, designed to give racing drivers their first step into car racing after karting. Drivers from around the world were attracted to the United Kingdom to compete in the series, and successful Formula One drivers such as Ayrton Senna and Jenson Button won their first single-seater titles in the championship. The championship was run to various Formula Ford regulations over the years, based on the engines provided for the championship by Ford Motor Company. These engine based regulations/specifications include the Ford Kent engine, Ford Zetec engine, Ford Duratec engine and in the final years the Ford EcoBoost engine.

Philip Colin Dowsett is a British retired racing driver. He initially competed in Formula Ford, Formula Three and Formula Atlantic in the 1970s, finishing as runner-up in the 1979 and 1980 National Formula Atlantic Championships. He competed regularly in the British Touring Car Championship during the 1980s in a Toyota Corolla GT. In 1988 and 1989 he won consecutive class D titles, becoming the last driver to win that class. He finished as runner-up in the championship overall in 1988, five points behind champion Frank Sytner. He is the father of racing cyclist Alex Dowsett.

The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in Formula Ford cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. This season saw the championship adopt a single class format, with all drivers using the latest cars built to the Formula Ford EcoBoost specification. There was also an award for the highest placed rookie. It was the 37th British Formula Ford season and returned to the TOCA tour to form part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece.
