Tender Mercies is a 1983 American drama film directed by Bruce Beresford. The screenplay by Horton Foote focuses on Mac Sledge, a recovering alcoholic country music singer who seeks to turn his life around through his relationship with a young widow and her son in rural Texas. Robert Duvall plays the role of Mac; the supporting cast includes Tess Harper, Betty Buckley, Wilford Brimley, Ellen Barkin and Allan Hubbard.
Buffalo Springfield is a career retrospective album by the 1960s folk rock band of the same name, released in 2001. Band member Neil Young assembled the tracks in chronological order to show how the band evolved and disintegrated in the span of two years, as encompassed through the first three CDs, while the fourth disc contains the band's first two albums, all but three tracks of which had already appeared in identical versions elsewhere on the first three discs. The box set reached number 194 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart, and stayed on the chart for one week.
Celebrate: The Three Dog Night Story, 1965–1975 is a two-CD anthology of Three Dog Night recordings released in 1993 which includes some pre-3DN material from co-lead singers Danny Hutton and Cory Wells, as well as an unreleased track "Time to Get Alone", penned and produced by Brian Wilson from the band's brief "Redwood" incarnation. Weekend on the Rocks is a live album by Dave Matthews Band. It contains highlights of the four shows in four days the band performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on September 9–12, 2005. The set is packaged on two CDs and one DVD. However, a complete recording of the four shows, entitled The Complete Weekend on the Rocks, is available on eight discs. This is the second officially released live recording of Dave Matthews Band concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The first was Live at Red Rocks 8.15.95.

The album charted in the US Billboard at number 25 in the US Pop chart, and at number 21 in the US R&B chart. In the UK the album peaked at number 32, "Never Can Say Goodbye" was released in the UK as a single and reached number 2 in early 1975.

You've Got a Friend is an album by American pop singer Johnny Mathis that was released on August 11, 1971, by Columbia Records. The phrase "Today's Great Hits" can be found above the title on both sides of the record jacket as well as both sides of the LP label as if to emphasize that this is essentially an album covering songs that were recently on the charts. This was a common practice of many vocalists of the period, so much so in fact that fellow Columbia artist Andy Williams also released an album titled You've Got a Friend in August 1971 on which he coincidentally covers seven of the 11 tracks that Mathis recorded for this album.
We'll Sing in the Sunshine is the tenth studio album by Australian-American pop singer Helen Reddy that was released in 1978 by Capitol Records. The album included two songs that were also covered by Johnny Mathis in the first half of that year: "All I Ever Need", which came out on his March release, You Light Up My Life, and "Ready or Not", on which he duetted with Deniece Williams for their June release, That's What Friends Are For. Reddy also ventures into Beatles territory with their rockabilly number "One After 909" and takes on Jeff Lynne's "Poor Little Fool" with accompaniment in the vein of Electric Light Orchestra. This was her first album not to reach Billboard's Top LP's & Tapes chart. On February 23, 2010, it was released for the first time on compact disc as one of two albums on one CD, the other album being her 1977 release, Ear Candy.
All of the songs from the Long Walk To Never EP are featured in the 2010 film HappyThankYouMorePlease, for which "Never Be Daunted" was shortlisted for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences' Best Original Song Academy Award. "All Souls" was also featured in the 2010 film Barney's Version, and "Long Walk To Never" in 2014's There's Always Woodstock.
