Le Poème Harmonique is a musical ensemble founded in 1998 by Vincent Dumestre to recreate and promote early music, in particular that of the 17th century. Using rare instruments such as the theorbo, the lirone, the tiorbino and the arpa tripla, Le Poème Harmonique aims to recapture the poetry of early music, particularly of the late renaissance and early baroque era. The early 17th-century French and Italian madrigal is a special interest. Le Poème Harmonique also teaches singers in collaboration with the Centre de Musique Baroque at Versailles. The group's recordings with the French Alpha record label of Jean-Paul Combet contributed to the critical and commercial establishment of the label, and included the 1st and 100th releases of the label's primary 'Ut Pictura Musica' series.
Les Arts Florissants is a Baroque musical ensemble in residence at the Théâtre de Caen in Caen, France. The organization was founded by conductor William Christie in 1979. The ensemble derives its name from the 1685 opera by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. The organization consists of a chamber orchestra of period instruments and a small vocal ensemble. Current notable members include soprano Danielle de Niese and tenor Paul Agnew, who has served as assistant conductor since 2007. Jonathan Cohen is also on the conducting staff. Christie remains the organization's Artistic Director.

It was Cavalli's second operatic work and was premiered at the Teatro San Cassiano, Venice during the Carnival season of 1640. Félix Rienth is a Swiss operatic tenor. Born in Basel, he was a member of the Basel Boys Choir in his youth. He made his first opera appearance as a boy with Theater Basel as the first boy in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's The Magic Flute. He attended the University of Basel where he earned diplomas in the Spanish and German languages. He then studied singing privately in Basel with Heidi Wölnerhanssen before entering the Hochschule der Künste Bern; graduating from there in 2000 with a degree in opera performance. He has since had a major career as a concert singer in the oratorio repertoire; appearing with important ensembles and at major music festivals throughout Europe, including a recital in presence of Her Majesty, Queen Fabiola of Belgium. He has made about 20 recordings on a variety of labels. A highly acclaimed production was the recording of Johann Christoph Pepusch]]'s "Tenor Cantatas" with his wife, Muriel Rochat Rienth, recorder player, and Swiss baroque ensemble "La Tempesta Basel". His CD of Spanish baroque songs "Tonos humanos" by José Marín was considered as a reference recording by German magazine "Klassik heute". 2014 is appearing Georg Philipp Telemann's "Tenor Cantatas" with "La Tempesta Basel", elected among "Best CDs of the month" by Spanish magazine RITMO.
K617 is a French classical music record label based in Metz and founded by Alain Pacquier, music author and creator of the Festival de Saintes at the Abbaye aux Dames in Charente-Maritime, and the Festival de Sarrebourg (July) at the Couvent de Saint Ulrich. The name "K617" refers to Mozart's Adagio and Rondo for glass harmonica, flute, oboe, viola and cello, K.617).
