Stars on the Entrepreneur Walk of Fame

The Entrepreneur Walk of Fame was established to recognize the positive impact of entrepreneurs on job creation and technological progress. [1]

Seven honorees were unveiled in the inaugural year. [2] These were Bill Gates, Bill Hewlett, Bob Swanson, David Packard, Mitch Kapor, Steve Jobs, and Thomas Edison. [3] New honorees are unveiled each year in the fall. [4]

The stars are located near the outbound Kendall Square MBTA Red Line stop in Cambridge, Massachusetts. [5]

In 2024, the Entrepreneur Walk of Fame announced a revitalisation effort by the City of Cambridge, including plans for updated plaques and a digital kiosk to showcase past and future honorees, as part of the Kendall Square innovation district’s broader enhancement. [6]
