The Congress of Democrats (CoD) is a Namibian opposition party without representation in the National Assembly and led by Ben Ulenga. It was established in 1999, prior to that year's general elections, and started off with a number of notable politicians that left the ruling SWAPO party. This includes Ulenga who left SWAPO to protest plans to amend the constitution so that President Sam Nujoma could run for a third term.
Hage Gottfried Geingob is the third and current president of Namibia, in office since 21 March 2015. Geingob was the first Prime Minister of Namibia from 21 March 1990 to 28 August 2002, and served as Prime Minister again from 4 December 2012 to 21 March 2015. Between 2008 and 2012 Geingob served as Minister of Trade and Industry. He is also the current president of the ruling SWAPO Party since his election to the position in November 2017.

Omukwaniilwa Immanuel Kauluma Elifas was a chief of the Ondonga, a sub-tribe of Owambo people since 28 August 1975, in Namibia having succeeded his brother the late Chief Fillemon Elifas Shuumbwa who was gunned down the same year at Onamagongwa. The Ondonga tribal area is situated around Namutoni on the eastern edge of Etosha pan in northern Namibia. Kauluma was also the Chairperson of the Council of Traditional Leaders for many years. He was succeeded as King by the designate Omukwaniilwa of Ondonga, his great-grandson Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo.
Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo is the reigning chief of Ondonga kingdom, a sub-tribe of Owambo people since 2019 in Namibia. Nangolo is the nephew of late King Immanuel Kauluma Elifas who reigned from 1975 - 2019. The Ondonga tribal area is situated around Namutoni on the eastern edge of Etosha pan in northern Namibia. On 14 April, he was appointed the king of the Aandonga. His uncle Konisa Kalenga was also being crowned as king the same day. The succession dispute ended with Shuumbwa being recognised by Government in June 2019.
Shaun Nigel August is a South African politician and former prison warder who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since May 2019. He is a member of Good and the party's interim national organiser. He began his political career as a member of the Independent Democrats (ID). He was appointed the party's deputy national organiser in 2006. August joined the Democratic Alliance (DA) when the ID merged with the party and served as the DA's chief whip in the City of Cape Town council from 2014 to 2018.
Longinus Kalimbo Iipumbu is a Namibian politician who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of Namibia for the Namibian Economic Freedom Fighters since 2020. He is the party's national coordinator and chief whip in parliament. Iipumbu was formerly the youth leader of the Congress of Democrats.
Willem Frederik Faber is a South African businessman and politician who has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since May 2019. He was previously a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces, the upper house of Parliament, from May 2009 to May 2019. Faber is a member of the Democratic Alliance (DA).
Julius Hamunyera Hambyuka is a Namibian politician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly of Namibia since March 2015. A member of the ruling SWAPO party, he was appointed the Government Chief Whip of the National Assembly in March 2020.
Pemmy Castelina Pamela Majodina is a South African politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly since 2019. A member of the African National Congress, she is the party's chief whip in the assembly. She was formerly a Member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature between 2004 and 2019 and a Member of the provincial Executive Council for five different portfolios from 2008 to 2019, respectively. Majodina was a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces from 1994 to 2004.
Edson E. Isaacks is a Namibian educator, farmer and politician serving as a Member of the National Assembly of Namibia since March 2020. He is a member of the Landless People's Movement and the party's operative secretary.
Mathias Mbundu is a Namibian politician and the current deputy secretary-general of the Republican Party. He has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly since March 2015. After the death of Clara Gowases in June 2020, Mbundu was appointed as the party's leader in the assembly.
