Eric Bucchere is the co-founder and current CEO and Sporting Director of Path2Pro Soccer. [1]
Prior to joining Path2Pro Bucchere was an American soccer coach who most recently an assistant coach with Reno 1868 FC [2] in the United Soccer League.
Prior to his role with Reno 1868 FC, Bucchere was the head coach of Burlingame Dragons FC [3] of the Premier Development League in 2016. Bucchere led the team to a PDL Western Conference Final Four appearance in his first season as head coach. Several Burlingame Dragons FC players signed professional contracts into Major League Soccer after the 2016 season, including Nick Lima of the San Jose Earthquakes.
In addition to his time coaching in the PDL and USL, Bucchere also coached college soccer for 12 years, most recently as the head coach of men's soccer program at Menlo College. [4] In four seasons in charge from 2013–2016, Bucchere accumulated a 43-23-9 record at Menlo, including a program-best ever record of 15-5-1 in 2016. In 2016, Bucchere led Menlo to the first ever Golden State Athletic Conference championship in men's soccer and Menlo College history. [5]
Bucchere also served an assistant coach of men's soccer for the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs from 2006–2008, and UC San Diego Tritons from 2008-2013.
Bucchere also has experience coaching in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, working with the U16-U18 teams for the San Diego Surf (soccer) from 2008–2013, and also with the San Jose Earthquakes from 2013-2015.
Ian Russell is an American soccer coach and former player. He is currently an assistant coach of MLS club San Jose Earthquakes.
The San Jose Earthquakes U23, were an American soccer team based in Turlock, California. They were the development team for the MLS San Jose Earthquakes. The team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Southwest Division of the Western Conference.
Burlingame Dragons FC was an American soccer club based in Burlingame, California. Founded in 2014, the team played in the Premier Development League (PDL). The team was owned by Nick Swinmurn, founder of Zappos.com and a minority investor in the NBA's Golden State Warriors, and David Ebersman, former CFO of Facebook and Genentech. The team played its home games at Burlingame High School stadium. They were the developmental affiliate of the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer.
The 2015 USL Premier Development League season was the 21st season of the PDL and consisted of 63 teams. The regular season began on May 2 and ended on July 19. The Michigan Bucks were the defending champions and posted the best overall record in the League; however, they were defeated by K-W United FC in the Central Conference finals. K-W United went on to win the league championship by defeating the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 1-0 in the semi-finals and in high scoring final they overcame the New York Red Bulls U-23 4-3. 63 clubs competed in the semi-professional soccer leagues.
Reno 1868 FC was an American professional soccer team based in Reno, Nevada. Founded in 2015, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in March 2017 and ceased operations after the 2020 season.
The 2016 BYU Cougars men's soccer team is part of the BYU Athletics program but does not play in a college conference. Instead they are competing in the 2016 USL Premier Development League. The Cougars are coached by first year head coach Brandon Gilliam. In addition to a new coach, BYU moves from the Mountain Division of the PDL to the Central Pacific division. The Mountain Division was folded after the Real Colorado Foxes franchise folded.
