Eric Lamont Downing (born September 16, 1978), is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He plaed for Syracuse and was selected in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft. [1]
Downing attended John F. Kennedy High School, in Paterson, New Jersey, where he was selected for the first-team All-State. [2]
Downing played college football at Syracuse University for Paul Pasqualoni. He was named to the ALL-Big East team in 2000. [3]

Keith J. Bulluck is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for eleven seasons in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football for the Syracuse Orange, he was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round in the 2000 NFL draft. He had a ten-year career with the Titans, which included a Pro Bowl selection in 2003. He played for the New York Giants in 2010.

Rashaun Dorrell Woods is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). Woods played college football for Oklahoma State Cowboys, receiving All-American honors twice, including a consensus selection in 2002. He was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft, and played professionally for the NFL's 49ers, the CFL's Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europa. Woods currently coaches at Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas (2023–present).
Ernest R. Davis was an American college football player who was a halfback for the Syracuse Orangemen who won the Heisman Trophy in 1961. He was the award's first black recipient. Davis was selected first overall by the Washington Redskins in the 1962 NFL draft but was almost immediately traded to the Cleveland Browns. He was diagnosed with leukemia that same year, and died shortly after at age 23 without ever playing in a professional game. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1979 and was the subject of the 2008 film The Express: The Ernie Davis Story.

Kennedy was also a member of the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Giants. He won Super Bowl XLVI with the Giants against the New England Patriots.

John F. Kennedy Educational Complex is a four-year public high school in Paterson, United States, that serves the western section of Paterson. Kennedy High School, which serves students in ninth through twelfth grade, is a part of the Paterson Public Schools. 93% of the students are of minority races, and a majority of them speak either a non-English language at home or are very limited in English.
