Professional career
Fields turned pro in 2006 and won his first six fights, five by knockout, before knocking out Mexican 2004 Olympian Ramiro Reducindo on July 27, 2007, in Corona, California in the first round.
On January 18, 2008, Fields defeated former IBF cruiserweight champion Kelvin Davis by technical knockout at 55 seconds of the first round. In June 2007, Davis had broken his back in two places while training in Australia and was winless in his last eight bouts of a futile comeback attempt, getting knocked out four times after the broken back including the Fields bout. Fields dropped Davis with the first right hand he threw. Davis was subsequently knocked out in the first round again by Alexander Frenkel.
Fields suffered his first career loss against Ola Afolabi on April 12, 2008, in a bout for the vacant WBO NABO cruiserweight title, the only pro bout in which Fields went past the sixth round. Fields got tired in the 8th round, Afolabi knocking him down twice in the round. Fields managed to survive the round. In the 10th round, Fields was knocked down again, and got up, but was getting hit. The referee had to stop the fight by technical knockout at 55 seconds of the tenth round. Afolabi had not fought in two and a half years prior to the Fields bout.
Fields fought Jeff Yeoman in Oklahoma City on February 11, 2010, and won the fight by technical knockout in the 3rd round.

He reigned as the undisputed champion at cruiserweight in the late 1980s and at heavyweight in the early 1990s, and remains the only boxer in history to win the undisputed championship in two weight classes in the three belt era. Nicknamed "the Real Deal", Holyfield is the only four-time world heavyweight champion, having held the unified WBA, WBC, and IBF titles from 1990 to 1992, the WBA and IBF titles again from 1993 to 1994, the WBA title a third time from 1996 to 1999; the IBF title a third time from 1997 to 1999 and the WBA title for a fourth time from 2000 to 2001.
Roy Levesta Jones Jr. is an American former professional boxer, commentator, and trainer who holds dual American and Russian citizenship. He competed in boxing from 1989 to 2018, and held multiple world championships in four weight classes, including titles at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight, and is the only boxer in history to start his professional career at light middleweight and go on to win a heavyweight title. As an amateur, he represented the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the light middleweight division after one of the most controversial decisions in boxing history.
Rick John Roufus is a retired American kickboxer. He is one of the most famous kickboxers in America, and has also competed professionally in boxing and mixed martial arts. An accomplished professional fighter throughout his competitive career Roufus has won multiple world championships across the globe in several weight classes, he was world champion as a super middle weight, light heavyweight and heavyweight. Roufus held titles for all the major kickboxing associations worldwide, and is known for his boxing skills and powerful kicks. He is the older brother of Duke Roufus who is also a kickboxer and a Muay Thai and mixed martial arts instructor.
Dwight Muhammad Qawi is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1978 to 1998. He was a world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBC and Ring magazine light heavyweight titles from 1981 to 1983, and the WBA cruiserweight title from 1985 to 1986. Qawi was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2004.
Tim Witherspoon is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1979 to 2003. He was a two-time world heavyweight champion, having held the WBC title in 1984, and the WBA title in 1986. Witherspoon also worked as a regular sparring partner for Muhammad Ali.
Jean-Marc Gilbert Mormeck is a French former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2014. He is a two-time unified world cruiserweight champion, having held the WBA, WBC and The Ring world titles twice between 2005 and 2007. He was the first boxer to hold unified cruiserweight title since Evander Holyfield in 1988, and the first fighter to hold The Ring cruiserweight title since Carlos De León in 1987. He was ranked by BoxRec as the world's top 10 cruiserweight from 2001 to 2005 and in 2007, and was ranked No.1 in 2003 and 2004. Mormeck also challenged for the unified world heavyweight title in 2012.
Allan Lamar Green is an American professional boxer. He is a former NABO super middleweight champion, and has challenged for world titles at both super middleweight and light heavyweight.
Shane Aaron Cameron is a New Zealand professional boxer. He is a former Commonwealth cruiserweight champion, having also held several regional titles at heavyweight. As an amateur he won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Outside of boxing, he placed fifth in the 2015 series of Dancing With the Stars New Zealand.
Enzo Maccarinelli is a Welsh former professional boxer who competed from 1999 to 2016. He held the WBO cruiserweight title from 2006 to 2008, and the European and British cruiserweight titles between 2010 and 2012.
Tomasz "Tomek" Adamek is a Polish professional boxer. He is a former world champion in two weight classes, having held the WBC light heavyweight title from 2005 to 2007, and the IBF, and Ring magazine cruiserweight titles from 2008 to 2009. He also held the IBO title in 2007. Additionally he has challenged once for the WBC heavyweight title in 2011. BoxRec ranks Adamek as the greatest Polish fighter of all time, pound for pound. Adamek is the first Polish boxer to win a Ring title.

Monte Barrett is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2014. He challenged once for the WBA heavyweight title in 2006, and fought many top heavyweight champions and contenders during his career.
Brian Matthew Minto is an American former professional boxer who competed from 2002 to 2016. He challenged once for the WBO cruiserweight title in 2010. During his career he faced former world champions and contenders Dillian Whyte, Joseph Parker, Axel Schulz, Luan Krasniqi, Chris Arreola, Marco Huck, Shane Cameron, Tony Tubbs, and Artur Szpilka. He also faced Israel Adesanya, who later on became the UFC Middleweight Champion, losing to him by split-decision.

Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield, billed as Finally, was a professional boxing match fought between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson for the World Boxing Association heavyweight championship on November 9, 1996 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The bout was Tyson's first defense of the WBA title that he had won from Bruce Seldon on September 7 of that year.
Olawale O. "Ola" Afolabi is a British professional boxer. He is a two-time former WBO interim cruiserweight champion, as well as a two-time former IBO cruiserweight champion. Nicknamed "Kryptonite", Afolabi was known in the ring for his slickness, counterpunching skills and durability. Born to Nigerian parents, Afolabi resides in California, where he also trained for the most of his career.
Victor Emilio Ramírez is an Argentine former professional boxer. He held the WBO cruiserweight title in 2009 and the IBF cruiserweight from 2015 to 2016. Ramírez announced his retirement in December 2016. He fought once at heavyweight in December 2017.
Eric Scott Esch, better known by his nickname "Butterbean", is an American retired professional boxer, kickboxer, mixed martial artist, and professional wrestler who competed in the heavyweight division. He is also a television personality, having appeared in several programs and been referenced by many others. Esch became a professional boxer in 1994 after a successful stint on the Toughman Contest scene and went on to capture the World Athletic Association (WAA) heavyweight and IBA Super heavyweight championships. From 2003, he regularly fought as a kickboxer and mixed martial artist, notably in K-1 and the Pride Fighting Championships. Butterbean's combined fight record is 97–24–5 with 65 knockouts and 9 submissions.
