Eric Gargiulo (born July 18, 1972) is a professional wrestling announcer, wrestler, commentator, and radio show host. Gargiulo is most known for his years announcing and hosting for Combat Zone Wrestling. [2]
Gargiulo trained with Jim Kettner and a variety of East Coast Wrestling Association (ECWA) wrestlers in 1994. [1] He made about a dozen appearances wrestling for the ECWA and on independent shows. [2]
Gargiulo was a ring announcer for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). He made his debut in November 1996 in Staten Island, New York. [1] Gargiulo announced road shows for the company through May 1998. [2]
Gargiulo began Pro Wrestling Radio in January 1999. [1] Pro Wrestling Radio aired on WBCB 1490 AM out of Philadelphia from 1999–2009. [1] The radio show is the longest consistent running professional wrestling radio talk show on terrestrial radio. [2] It featured interviews with a variety of guests, including Steve Austin, Ricky Steamboat, Bret Hart, Edge, Dusty Rhodes, Tito Ortiz, Bruno Sammartino, and Superstar Billy Graham. Chris Jericho was the first guest on the debut show. Sammartino made more guest appearances on the show over ten years than any other guest. [2]
In 2009, Gargiulo took ownership of the show and began broadcasting the show exclusively live online. [1] The show periodically airs via podcast. The show is also available through iTunes via podcast.
Gargiulo joined Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) as a commentator and announcer in 2000. He first entered CZW as a backstage interviewer and then made his announcing debut on the Caged to the End home video. [1] [3] [4] Gargiulo was immediately paired with John House on the broadcasts. [2]
Gargiulo announced and hosted shows for CZW through 2007. [1] His work included pay-per-views, television and home videos. Gargiulo also traveled to Italy for CZW’s first Italian tour. [1] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] He also worked behind-the-scenes helping write, book, and script for CZW.
Gargiulo has worked for most of the major independent pro wrestling companies as an announcer. Gargiulo announced for Dangerous Women of Wrestling’s television and home videos. [1] In addition, he announced pay-per-views for Women's Extreme Wrestling from 2001–2008. [2] During this time, he also called the action with Buck Woodward for several Japanese Pro Wrestling pay-per-views from 2002–2005. Gargiulo and Steve Corino announced the first two Ring of Honor (ROH) home videos together. Gargiulo, however, left the company shortly before the third show due to conflicts between CZW and ROH. [1] Gargiulo reunited with ex-CZW partner John House in 2007 for several Pro Wrestling Unplugged shows. He has also worked for Chikara. He later semi-retired as an announcer. [2] [10]
Gargiulo began the Camel Clutch Blog in 2007. [1] The blog was published online by phillyburbs.com. His blog topics included professional wrestling, mixed martial arts, the NFL, and politics. [1] The blog was highly ranked and often featured on Yahoo BUZZ. [2] In 2009, Gargiulo took ownership of the blog. [1] The Camel Clutch Blog was a popular sports blog on the Internet. The Camel Clutch Blog stopped regularly publishing content in 2017.
Gargiulo developed and sold the website NFLLockout.com to the NFLPA for a reported $25,000. [11]
Along with Rob Feinstein and Doug Gentry, Gargiulo helped innovate the professional wrestling shoot interview concept. Gargiulo began hosting shoot interviews for RF Video in 1996. [1] He continues to host and write interviews for RF Video, Inc. [1] [2]
Eric wrote and edited the questions for the WWE Pop Trivia Quiz Deck. The trivia game was published by Insights Publishing in 2019. [12]

Originally known as Viking Hall, the venue has since been named Alhambra Arena, The Arena and Asylum Arena. It was previously known unofficially as ECW Arena when it was home to Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1993 to 2001, and later XPW Arena when it was home to Xtreme Pro Wrestling from 2002 to 2003.
Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) is an American independent wrestling promotion. In 1998, John Zandig and five of his students, Ric Blade, T.C.K, Lobo, Nick Gage and Justice Pain, along with trainer Jon Dahmer, began to run professional wrestling shows in New Jersey and Delaware, showcasing a brand of hardcore wrestling dubbed as "ultraviolence". Ladders, tables, steel folding chairs, thumbtacks, barbed wire, weed whackers, light tubes, panes of glass, exploding barbed wire baseball bats, and fire are all common elements of "ultraviolent wrestling" in CZW. The company filled a niche for hardcore wrestling fans that had been left open by the folding of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). CZW established themselves as the leading American hardcore wrestling promotion at the ECW Arena with their Cage of Death 3 show in 2001, the year ECW folded.

The Backseat Boyz were a professional wrestling tag team that consisted of Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere who competed in Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Unplugged, Combat Zone Wrestling, Assault Championship Wrestling, the Premier Wrestling Federation, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, and Japan together. The Kings of Wrestling was a professional wrestling stable that worked on the independent circuit. It was formed in Chikara as a large stable, but also appeared in numerous promotions mainly as a tag team of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli. Hero's manager Larry Sweeney and valet Sara Del Rey were also part of the group at differing times. The group also comprised Icarus and Gran Akuma who teamed separately as Team F.I.S.T. as well as Arik Cannon, Mitch Ryder, Max Boyer, Chuck Taylor and Shayne Hawke.

Mark Pugh is an American professional wrestler best known as Mark Briscoe. He is currently signed to Ring of Honor and its sister promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He held the ROH World Tag Team Championship with his brother Jay Briscoe a record 13 times, was one third of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions with Jay and Bully Ray, and alongside Jay was an inaugural inductee into the ROH Hall of Fame.
