Eric Sall is an artist from South Dakota.

Education

Sall attended the Yale Summer Program in 1998, graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1999 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He continued his education at Virginia Commonwealth University, and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in 2006. [1]

Sall has received a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant and a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship. [1]

Exhibitions

He has exhibited in shows including The Triumph of Painting at the Saatchi Gallery in London, The RAIR Paintings at Roswell Museum and Art Center and From The Root To The Fruit at Alona Kagan Gallery in New York. He is represented by ATM Gallery in New York City, Dolphin Gallery in Kansas City and ADA Gallery in Richmond. [1]

His work is held in the collections of the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, Sedalia, Missouri. [2] and Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Overland Park, Kansas, [3]

Saatchi Gallery

The Saatchi Gallery is a London gallery for contemporary art and anindependent charity opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985. Exhibitions which drew upon the collection of Charles Saatchi, starting with US artists and minimalism, moving to the Damien Hirst-led Young British Artists, followed by shows purely of painting, led to Saatchi Gallery becoming a recognised authority in contemporary art globally. Kehinde Wiley American artist (born 1977)

Kehinde Wiley is an American portrait painter based in New York City, who is known for his highly naturalistic paintings of African Americans, frequently referencing the work of Old Master paintings. He was commissioned in 2017 to paint a portrait of former President Barack Obama for the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, which has portraits of all previous American presidents. The Columbus Museum of Art, which hosted an exhibition of his work in 2007, describes his work as follows: "Wiley has gained recent acclaim for his heroic portraits which address the image and status of young African-American men in contemporary culture."

Jessica Jackson Hutchins is an American artist from Chicago, Illinois who is based in Portland, Oregon. Her practice consists of large scale ceramics, multi-media installations, assemblage, and paintings all of which utilize found objects such as old furniture, ceramics, worn out clothes, and newspaper clippings. She is most recognizable for her sloppy craft assemblages of furniture and ceramics. Her work was selected for the 2010: Whitney Biennial, featured in major art collections, and has been exhibited throughout the United States and internationally, in Iceland, the UK, and Germany.

Rodney McMillian is an artist based in Los Angeles. McMillian is a Professor of Sculpture at the UCLA School of Arts and Architecture at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Chiho Aoshima is a Japanese pop artist and member of Takashi Murakami's Kaikai Kiki Collective. Aoshima graduated from the Department of Economics, Hosei University, Tokyo. She held a residency at Art Pace, San Antonio, United States in 2006.

Tim Lokiec

Tim Lokiec is an artist based in New York City whose 2003 solo debut artworks were praised by The New York Times for their "remarkable visual and emotional intensity". In 2004, he was cited by London's Frieze Art Fair as being one of the world's most exciting artists who were nominated by 200 leading contemporary art galleries in the world. In 2006, the Kantor Feuer Gallery, known for discovering new talent and developing the careers of artists, and ranked as one of the top galleries in the world, held an exhibition of Lokiec's work. His works are also exhibited in the now British government-owned Saatchi Gallery. Lokiec did the cover design for Rich Bowering's 2011 book Big Fire at Spahn Ranch.

He continued his studies at Goldsmiths College of Art in London, where he received his MA. Harold Jacob Bruder is an American realist painter. In 1984, he was honored with a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. He is a former professor of art, working with the Kansas City Art Institute, Pratt Institute, National Academy of Design, Aspen Art Museum, and Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY). He served as the Chairman of the Art Department at CUNY, where he taught painting and drawing for 30 years, retiring in 1995, as Professor Emeritus.

Marcus Jansen a.k.a. Marcus Antonius Jansen (born 1968 in New York City, while residing first in the South Bronx. He is an American painter. He attended the Kunstgewerbe Schule Berufskolleg für Technik und Medien am Platz der Republik in Mönchengladbach, Germany in 1985, where he spent most of his young adult years. The city was also his father's birthplace. Jansen later became a leading combatant of the avant-garde.
