Erik Derycke (born 1970) is a Belgian quiz player best known for his success with the national team and his double gold at the European Quizzing Championships (EQC) 2007 with his partner Tom Trogh.
He has been a national team member since 2003 when his team won the "England-Belgium interland", the precursor of the EQC. Derycke has won three European titles in 2005, 2006 and 2008, Silver in five other competitions and Bronze in 2011 with the national site.
He also won the EQC double title with national teammate Tom Trogh (also from Leuven) in 2007, and Silver in 2011. The other two national players are Ronny Swiggers and Nico Pattyn.
With his club "Clockwork" (line-up Tom Trogh, Marnix Baes, Bart Permentier) he won European Silver in 2007 and Bronze in 2010 and 2013.
His strongest subject is Culture. In individual competition he reached the 9th place three times at the World Quizzing Championships, in 2005, 2006 and 2010.
He studied Germanic Literature, and now works as the chief editor of Belgian photography magazine "Shoot" which severely limits his time to quiz.
Kevin Ashman is an English quiz player. He is often considered one of the greatest quizzers in the world, and since 2002 has been a professional quizzer; he has been an Egghead since 2003. He has won most of the top-level quiz tournaments in which he has taken part, among them several World and European Championships.
Marian Drăgulescu is a Romanian artistic gymnast. During his senior gymnastics career he has won an impressive 31 medals at Olympic games, and World or European Championships, of which eight are gold medals at the World Championships. He excels in vault and floor, on which he is a multiple world champion and Olympic medalist. His name will remain in gymnastics history not only because of his world titles on floor and vault, but also because of the extremely difficult vault named after him: a handspring double front somersault with ½ turn or the Drăgulescu. He is also an excellent all-around gymnast, an event in which he was a European champion (2004) and bronze medalist (2000) and in which he placed 8th at the 2004 Olympic Games.
William Speed Lane Fox-Pitt is an English equestrian who competes in eventing. His career highlights include winning three Olympic medals in the team event, with silver in 2004 and 2012, and bronze in 2008. At the World Equestrian Games, he won team gold and individual silver in 2010, and team silver and individual bronze in 2014. He also won World team medals in 2002 and 2006. At the European Championships, he has won six team gold medals, as well as Individual silver in 1997 and 2005, and Individual bronze in 2013. He is the recordman CCI*****'s winner with 14 grand slam titles. In 2011, he became the first rider to win five different five-star events, having won the Burghley Horse Trials a record six times, Rolex Kentucky three times, Stars of Pau twice, the Badminton Horse Trials twice, and the Luhmühlen Horse Trials once (2008). A serious fall in 2015 left him in a coma for two weeks, but he came back to make the British eventing team and attend the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Timo Boll is a German professional table tennis player, who currently plays for Borussia Düsseldorf. He is ranked second in the German Table Tennis National League, and sixth in the ITTF world rankings as of June 2019. Boll ranks among the best German table tennis players of all time, having ranked world No. 1 in 2003, 2011 and in March 2018.
Ian Bayley is a British quiz player who has won several medals in quizzing, both in singles and as a member of a team. He won the European Championships three times straight from 2007 to 2009 with "Broken Hearts", and in 2004 with the English national team. With his partner Pat Gibson he also won the European pair championships in 2005 and the IQA British Quiz Championship in 2006. In individual competitions he won the British Championship in 2001 to take the Mark Bytheway trophy.
Nikolaos "Nikos" Zisis is a Greek professional basketball player for AEK Athens of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. At a height of 1.97 m tall, he plays at both the point guard and shooting guard positions.

Nico Pattyn is one of Belgium's most successful quiz players. He became European Quizzing Champion in November 2007, claiming the title in Blackpool. He was the first to beat English quiz legend, Kevin Ashman at the European championships individuals. He also won an individual silver medal at the first European Quizzing Championships in 2004 in his hometown Ghent and in 2013 in Liverpool, behind his compatriot Ronny Swiggers.
Greece has risen to prominence in a number of sporting areas in recent decades. The European Quizzing Championships (EQC) are an annual multi-disciplinary quiz event, in which representatives from various countries compete as individuals, in pairs, and/or in teams.
Mikko Esko is a Finnish volleyball player, a member of Finland men's national volleyball team and Finnish club Vammalan Lentopallo.
Mark Bytheway was an England International Quiz player best known for becoming Quizzing World Champion in 2008 and winning the Top Brain competition of Brain of Britain.
Ian Vougioukas is a Greek professional basketball player for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the Euroleague. Standing at 2.11 m, he plays at the center position. He played college basketball in the United States, for Saint Louis University.
Ronny Swiggers from Mechelen is one of Belgium's most successful quiz players. In November 2013 he became European Quizzing Champion, winning the individual competition at the European Championship in Liverpool, beating compatriot Nico Pattyn and Englishman Jesse Honey.
Tero Kalliolevo from Finland is the Nordic countries' most successful quiz player in international competitions.
Jesse Honey is an English urban planner and quiz player from South London, best known for winning the Mastermind series 2010 and holding one of its records, becoming a member of the English National quiz team later in the year, and going on to win the World Quizzing Championship 2012.
Tom Trogh is a Belgian quiz player who has won several international titles with the national team of quizzing powerhouse Belgium. He has established himself as the third best player of his country behind Ronny Swiggers and Nico Pattyn. Like all Belgian stars he is an amateur, he works as an actuary in a life insurance company.
Alexander Baart is a Dutch field hockey player of Belgian descent who plays as a defender or midfielder for Dutch club Oranje-Rood and the Dutch national team.
Holger Waldenberger is a German professional quiz player. He won the individual title in the European Quizzing Championships in 2012.
