Erik Varga (Hungarian : Varga Erik; born 9 June 1976) is a Slovak sport shooter who specializes in the trap. [1] He is a member of the Hungarian community in Slovakia. [2]

At the 2008 Olympic Games he finished in joint eighth place in the trap qualification, missing a place among the top six, who progressed to the final round.

At the 2012 Olympic Games he finished in twelfth place in the trap. [3]

Malta competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The country's participation at London marked its fifteenth appearance in the Summer Olympics since its début at the 1928 Summer Olympics. The delegation included two track and field athletes, Rachid Chouhal and Diane Borg, one double trap shooter William Chetcuti and two swimmers Andrew Chetcuti and Nicola Muscat. All five competitors qualified for the Games through wildcard places. William Chetcuti was selected as the flag bearer for the opening ceremony while Borg held it at the closing ceremony. Choudai did not progress beyond the preliminary stages of the men's 100 metres, while Borg advanced to the first round of the women's 100 metres before being eliminated. William Chetcuti finished ninth in the double trap shooting event, while Andrew Chetcuti and Muscat were unable to progress to the first rounds of their respective swimming disciplines.

Tomáš Klobučník is a Slovak swimmer, who specializes in breaststroke events. He is a multiple-time Slovak swimming champion and record holder in the 100 and 200 m breaststroke, and also, a two-time Swimmer of the Year by the Slovak Swimming Federation. Shooting competitions at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro took place from 6 to 14 August at the National Shooting Center in Deodoro. A maximum of 390 athletes were able to compete in the fifteen events across these Games. The event format was similar to 2012, although there were significant changes to the rules and guidelines of the competition.

Charlotte Hollands is a British sports shooter. She won her first Commonwealth Gold medal at the age of 15 at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. In 2015 World Championship, she was part of the British team that won gold in the team trap event.

Richárd Bognár is a Hungarian sport shooter. He achieved a sixth-place finish in the men's double trap at the 2011 ISSF World Cup series in Maribor, Slovenia, with a total score of 191 targets, earning him a spot on the Hungarian team for the Olympics. Bognar is also a member of Honved Bolyai Janos SE, and is coached and trained by Erzsebet Vasvari.

Lin Yi-chun is a Taiwanese sport shooter. She won two medals, gold and silver, in the women's double trap, at the 2001 and 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships in Cairo, Egypt and Lahti, Finland, respectively. She also captured a bronze medal in the women's trap at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, accumulating a score of 80 clay pigeons and a bonus of 1 target from a shoot-off. She won gold at the 2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships in trap.
