Erika Ringor is an American film actress. She appeared on R Kelly's Trapped in the Closet as Roxanne

Early life

Raised by her mother Laura Ringor, Ringor's acting interest began at an early age during her high school years. [1] She attended California State University, Long Beach and graduated with honors, receiving her bachelor of arts degree in Drama and Technical Film. [1]

During her college years Ringor played principal roles in stage plays such as Hair, Shelley Garrett's Beauty Shop and Ntozake Shange's For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf . [1]

Career

Ringor first appeared in Love & Basketball . Since then, she has acted in many film and television productions, including R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet , the Wendy Williams biography Queen of Media , the television series Moonlight , [2] and recurring roles on The Young and the Restless .[ citation needed ]

Moonlighting is an American comedy-drama television series that aired on ABC from March 3, 1985, to May 14, 1989. The network aired a total of 67 episodes. Starring Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis as private detectives, and Allyce Beasley as their quirky receptionist, the show was a mixture of drama, comedy, mystery, and romance, and was considered to be one of the first successful and influential examples of comedy drama, or "dramedy", emerging as a distinct television genre. The show's theme song was co-written and performed by jazz singer Al Jarreau and became a hit. The show is also credited with making Willis a star and relaunching Shepherd's career after a string of lackluster projects. Written, produced, and directed by Kelly, the series tells a story of a one-night stand which sets off a chain of events, gradually revealing a greater web of lies, sex and deceit. Trapped in the Closet: Chapters 23–33 is a 2012 series of music videos and the third installment of the Trapped in the Closet series by R&B artist R. Kelly. In a then-recent interview, Kelly said the new installment would feature 11 new chapters when it premiered, along with another 30, which would be filmed in January 2013. When this saga premiered, it featured the return of several cast members, including the main character, Sylvester, played by Kelly.
