Erling E. Guldbrandsen (born 1960) is a Norwegian musicologist. He is a professor of musicology at the University of Oslo.
He earned the Mag.Art. degree with a dissertation on Norwegian contemporary music and the dr.philos. degree with a dissertation on European postwar modernist music, with a focus on Pierre Boulez. He is professor of musicology at the University of Oslo's Department of Musicology and the RITMO Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion. [1]
He is known for his research on music history and analysis, with a focus on Western art music from the last three centuries, musical aesthetics and interpretation theory. He received His Majesty The King's gold medal for his research in 1996, and the Article of the Year – Scandinavian University Press Academic Journal Prize in 2006. [2]

Hans-Jörgen Holman was a Norwegian-American pianist/ harpsichordist and professor of music at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. Holman specialized in Medieval and Renaissance music, and his 1961 Indiana University doctoral dissertation The Responsoria Prolixa of the Codex Worcester F 160 is considered one of the principal authoritative works on the vocal music of the medieval church. One of the first musicologists to pioneer computer aided big-data studies, Holman built a database of 48.000 melodic phrases from European and Scandinavian sources in order to trace melodic migration and development. He was particularly interested in questions concerning the relationship between the religious vocal folk music of Norway and the liturgical music of the medieval church. Holman gave papers on topics of musicology at several international conferences and made contributions to the Harvard Dictionary of Music.

Arnved Nedkvitne is a Norwegian historian of the Middle Ages and Professor Emeritus of mediaeval history. He held the chair of Norwegian mediaeval history at the University of Trondheim from 1991 to 1993 and at the University of Oslo from 1993 to 2009. He is a member of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters, and was elected in 1993. Nedkvitne is regarded as "one of Norway's preeminent commercial historians" and as Norway's foremost mediaeval historian. His research has focused on Norwegian urban history, foreign trade, the economy of coastal communities and pre-modern social organisation. He is the foremost scholar of the relations between the Hanseatic League and Norway; his research has also explored topics such as honour, law and religious ethics in Scandinavia, the social consequences of literacy in the Middle Ages, lay beliefs of mediaeval Scandinavia, and the Norse settlement of Arctic Greenland.
Alexander Refsum Jensenius is a Norwegian researcher and musician. He is Professor of music technology and was Head of the Department of Musicology, University of Oslo during the period 2013-2016. He is currently Deputy Director of RITMO - Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion at the University of Oslo, and serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee for NIME, the International Conference in New Interfaces for Musical Expression. He is the grandson of politician Marie Borge Refsum.
